Sorry to anyone who had track time cut short. I found out afterwards that the red flagged races that got cut short in the afternoon were refunded in the form of a free track pass for the end of the day.

It seemed like most track sessions got red flagged. :rant:

The next session he was in, he caught fire and it was yet another red flag.

you were looking really good there steve! too bad it got stopped so early you were taking everyone!

It seems like red flags were going all day (though i wasnt there which sux!) from the sounds of things too many ppl were either running out of talent or bring cars out that werent safe for the track. The main drift demo of course did not run due to the schedule being so far behind.

I felt quicker this time (probably because i overtook stuff :D) I was really concerned last action day that i was holding people up being my first time out. so slowed and let quite a few through when i probably did nt need to. Just went for it a bit more this time,and much more confidence as knew the track better. :thumbs:
I reckon the run into coombe with the escort cossie got me in the mood. nobody about except me and him :thumbs: nice bloke and came over for a chat he was in the rs club near us. He obliged in playing keepy uppy :D.

I'm uploading the third session now, here's the first, which shows just how quick his car is. Comes flying past at around 2:30.

You can see the splitter just after folley towards the end of the footage.

I managed a 1.27 in this first session beating my previous best, not such interesting footgage as not so many cars to overtake though. (And again, sorry about the camera shake).

I was there, did 2 morning sessions, 10 am and 11:15 on track. Really enjoyed it will be doing it again once the coilovers etc.. are fitted.

Almost brings a new meaning to BGW. I had assumed he had probably done some testing with all that. It looks like it's been thought out.

Yep, on the 888's. Amazing tires, and I reckon I can get that time down quite a bit more. Still plenty of room left in those tires. I know where I can easily make up some more time and when I get my brakes sorted I can leave my braking to the very last minute again.

There was a westfield turbo thingy with a similar setup a few years back. It was so fast it was only allowed to race in the special GT's - Where it was mullered due to the wings making it even less aerodynamic than usual :wack:

You'd better get more than 1:27 out of the 888's, as that's what I'm doing on road tyres :smash::p

Lots of action going on down on the track, fair few fires unfortunatley and a couple of expensive crashes. Did anyone see the BMW on the BBS splitties go off at quary - herd he played bumper cars and then parked it in the tyres?

Does anyone know who owns the purple s14a that broke down on the track in the session towards the end of the day and then came back behind the tow truck?
Something odd happened as they went through Bobbies with the car trying to overtake the van - cable went tight and spun the van round and ripped the front bumper off of the 14a - very strange! Everyone was laughs afterwards but it was well weird?

Good day this, nice video Steve, some very nice smooth driving, pushing a bit more, you will easy see a low 1.20, car and driver definatly look good for it. From the esses and through down to tower you shouldn't need to lift (I think i could hear on your video you were?) a wider line should sort this :)

Yeah the wide line through old paddock (where the Kart track is) is the one to aim for - then you just breaze past people holding the tight line on the run down to tower.
