Got a call on my mobile at 3am this morning from plod to say that the business had been broken into.

Got there and found that some windows had been smashed, a couple of monitors had had chairs thrown at them and smashed and a couple of laptops nicked.

There was also similar damage/theft from the 3 other businesses that share our site.

How helpful were plod? You guessed it they didn't want to fecking know. Have a crime number and sort it out with your insurance, we've got more important things to do than solve crime.

No doubt there was a big crackdown on people doing 41 in a 40 zone early this morning.

None of this really surprised me, tbh, bu what did piss me off and cause me to have a right go at Sargeant Nobhead was this.

I turned up in my old Merc 190. Whilst I was talking to a plod, this Sargeant proceeded to wander round my car checking the taxdisk and tyres. I went ballistic. They then asked me if I'd been drinking :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Ended up telling them to get the feck off my premises.

I feel a bit calmer about it now, though obviously I still hope that the money the theiving scrotes got from their haul was spent on injecting whatever drug they take with a needle infected with HIV :D

Though this was a crime where nobody got hurt and the only damage was to property (all of which can be replace by insurance) and therefore is not a serious as Murder, Rape, offences against children etc, etc. I thinks it's appalling that nobody is even making a pretence of trying to catch the purpetrators. What the hell is this world comming to when scrotes can go out and do what the hell they like.

20 years ago, such a crime would have been thoroughly investigated. In 20 years time will the police/government/society, be treating murder in the same way?

I know the police have a hard job to do. Most of that they do I would not want to do myself and therefore they should deserve our respect. BUT. They do themselves no favours by picking on easy targets (just like scrotes), ignoring things that will cause them to have to do some investigating, and then treating the victims of crime with contempt or like criminals.

What I suppose I'm saying is that they should stop focusing on the trivial aspects of motoring 'crime' (minor speeding, incorrectly sized numberplates etc) and focus on the real issues that we as taxpayers should be paying them to do.

Cops, get your act together before you lose what little respect law abiding people still have for you.
