Looked at the race results and wondered why Stuart Hall hadn't raced much after an initial 2-hour stint. He was disqualified from the race after that crash.

Didn't know he had been disqualified for it. Although I never actually looked at the final results :wack:

Yeah, but oddly another Aston did something similar later on and got a 4-minute drive-through penalty rather than out-and-out disqualification. It's likely that because of this, the remaining 2 drivers were more fatigued than normal, leading to the crash that ended car 009's Le Mans race :(

shit happens :(

seems reasonable considering he ended the other teams race.

Yep - we could actually see it happen - that bit of the track is literally 20ft from our campsite, but we couldnt see the aftermath. It was a strange one really - he looked like he was going to wait until the straight to overtake the slower cars but changes his mind, and that happened. :(

They DQ'd him for unnecessary contact but the car kept running until like cluck says it crashed.

If I'd known it was that close to us I may have actually bothered to go see some racing :wack:

Anyone got a link for the car that rolled about 4.30am by tet rouge??

That was the only action I saw of the whole race, and the previous ten minutes, everyone wanted to go back to the campsite before the safety car had gone in :wack:

Typical! I was KO'd in my tent at that time!

I missed every crash, the Aston one where he was DQ'd we were just walking past the big screen and wondering why so many people were around it. If we had been on the balcony at the peugeot building we would have had a good view. We missed the audi crashing out at the porsche curves by 5 minutes, and just left Hunaudières when the Porsche crashed!

Yeah, i want to see footage of that; not seen any and there wasn't any on the Eurosport coverage on Sunday.

Can't beleive Audi let the Piguts win! :annoyed:

that was pretty poor driving - junior jennetta standard, not world class

Yarp - proper engine race winner was Aston/Lolas, which were also the best looking and best sounding cars there.

The Pugs and Audis make them look fcuking slow in fairness though - unbelievable cars. :notworthy

LMP2 was Essex Porsche Carrera GT's, GT1 the Corvettes (last year for them in GT1 :() and GT3 top five places were Ferrari, then a Spyker, then the Porsches.

lol unlucky!

I filmed the aftermath on my phone as the car was 15 yards from the fence, you cant really see a lot apart from the marshalls holding a sheet up so we couldnt see the driver.

Then it felt a bit morbid filming it so I went and sat down.
