You live in the sticks, I live in feckin Swansea!!
But travel to leicestershire then travel down from there to london.
Well worth it though.
the RAM Records nights looks well good
must get me and my mates down to that one :notworthy
RAM are your top label of the moment - got all the best names on there IMHO
And Andy C is a guaranteed safe bet for a blinding, bouncy set. :D
I used to be heavily into D+B/Jungle but got sorta put off when it all went very very dark a few years back - seems to be dragging itself back now though
Oh and if you want MC's, you will never top Stevie Hyper or Det IMO
Anyone ever heard Bassman and LongJohn?? Comedy, fecking comedy :D

Maybe its my age but I just dont get drum and bass, The only time I ever hear it is when a max power idiot is nodding his head to at max distortion.
On a recent visit to our local McD's I saw some blokes 'air scratching' to the music on their imaginary turntables :tosser:
Still each to their own :p

I understand what you are saying.
I gotta say there is dnb and then there is proper dnb.
Dance music for me is also very much a state of mind thing, in the right environment the right state of mind it's fecking awesome.
But if you don't like it, then fair enough, loads of people like Celine Dion (and the ilk of drivvel she produces), but in my opinion she (and her contemporaries) should be fed to hungry iraqis. In fact I could feed all of iraq for a few years if I put a list together :D
Listen to some of the links posted above, that's proper dnb. :)
Not the shite the cripple hooks listen to LOL.
Oh, and garage? WTF is that crap?
It's like watching TV-X or some other crap soft porn, it never really goes anywhere. :D:D

Yeah stevie hyper D (RIP) was the daddy, but my favourite is Shabba D and Skibs (SAS).
Yes bassman is very funny, never heard longjohn (thats is bass is brother though??) trigger and palmer the charmer:p funny funny:D
drum and bass, a by gone music me thinx, it was the sound of the streets from 91-96, but nowadays its the pursuit of middle class white students gettin on down in their halls of residence wearing oversized carhart jeans. but we shall not forget the classics from back in the day: doc scott - shadowboxin, dj zinc supa sharp shoota, shy fx and uk apachi - original nuttah, q project - champion sound, origin unknown - the long dark tunnel, dead dred - dred bass, goldie/refigue kru - terminator, dj zinc 138 trek....i could go on and on and on listing the tunes that just blew me away as a teenager in the 90s, but i'm thinking that d&b 2day is kinda like how ska was when i was into jungle as a kid, a dead music form being relived or kept alive by middle class white idiots!! god im being controversial!!!!!! STOP ME!!! :finger:
Bassmans inside nowadays aint he??
and as some have mentioned b4 about garage going nowhere, u still cant beat a d&b drop when it cums in....kinda like a turbo kickin in!!
