They got a heavy duty jobby to handle 390bhp for £209 sounds a bargain?

Try a search.
There's a reason why it's cheap.

ive heard sonme right horrorstorys about them , but the clutch i had off thm was great,
but i think it was when they 1st started up
Techniclutch clutches are about as useful as trying to fashion your own brake pads out of a thin slice of edam.
I helped install one, and it couldn't hold s13 stage 1 power - slipped as soon as it got on boost. That was installed with a new flywheel as well..

Point taken i think.
I bought one for my R32 GTR. When it turned up the bubble wrap was stuck to the freshly packed up / freshly painted cover plate. It seems they are just painting up stock clutches and selling them on - can't say that for sure though.
Techniclutch are a very reputable manufacturer. Most people will have heard the horror stories about Exceddy recently to. I have had dealings with Techniclutch regarding the technicalities of their units due to working in the Industry and I can say that they are a very high quality unit. I will be using one of their clutches on my 500 Bhp S14a when the Crappy paddle clutch gives up.

i must admit i really liked the clutch i had from them and they was very helpful when i rang for information about the clutch , i told them what figure i wanted to run the car at and they sent me the clutch to suite,
eventually i was running 320bhp and the clutch was fine eve after months of dragracing.
afaik the car still has the same clutch with slightly more bhp too.
The standard clutch took a hell of a lot more abuse than a 'uprated' techniclutch clutch I had off them.
I would not touch them if I were you, but thats just my opinion and bad experience
Maybe they have pulled their finger out now - it was over 3 years ago I dealt with them.
They are crap they sold me a clutch that lasted 80 normal road miles and then would not do anything about it.
I apologise. I was not actually talking about Techniclutch, my Bad. That was another conversation I had. The guys I'm dealing with have just made a custom Clutch for a Group C Porsche 962 so you'd have to hope they know what they're doing.

They ARE complete pieces of SHIT..
I had one that slipped on an S13 when the standard one didnt..
I took it straight back out, sent it back, and they kept it and never refunded dispite me ringing them 10 times.
They wouldnt refund as I had fitted it myself, and said it could well have been installed incorrectly..
to reiterate, they are the most bollocks clutches known to man, the XS power of the clutch world
Theres a reason they sell them on ebay no-where else.
Do yourself a favour, dont put them anywhere near a 500bhp car, the one I had wouldnt cope with 250bhp

everyone has heard of techniclutch :)
They've got about 15 ebay accounts - I'm fairly sure the likes of Justclutch etc are all spawned from the same web
