Right I'm currently in the middle of a rebuild using a vvt sr bottom end. I know I have to block up the oil way to the vvt solinoid but what do people recomend is the best way of doing it. Some people are just saying the uk sr headgasket would be enough to seal around it and should be ok. What do you guys think.
Thanks mark

Anybody?
I wouldn't risk it personally, I would take it to a good machine shop and get them to put a plug into it.

I can get someone to machine a bit of dowl and put it in.
when you say dowel i assume you mean a hollow dowl. if so I was refering to getting a solid plug put into the whole to block it completley.

No a slolid bit maybe a bit tapered so it's a tight fit when I tap it in.
