View Full Version : The term Barry Car ? and Barried up ?
I just wondered who Barry was and how he got so famous ? So how did this term arise from the southerners vocabulary ? (bein nothern I have no concept of Barry or his mates !).
Everything bad in the north is just called a heap of s**t or a radmobeel or a s**t wagon or a s**t heap. Anything with the word s**t in front or after generally up north I think.

Might have come from Barry (and Barry Island) near Cardiff, which is well known for its abundance of s**t wagons.

Guess we would refer to it as a "shed"
Works like this round here:
A Barry-wagon is something that has been kevved up. Usually piloted by bazza, or shazza in some cases it can often be seen cruuuuzin the market square.
Bazza thinks his car is the dope ride when in fact it is the hoop ride . He dreams of having dubs and 16 switches but in fact he has 13s and two wiper settings
He wants a flaming straight through pipe but actually, he is a flaming straight up ****er :)
