I used to hate getting my hands dirty and resented having to open the bonnet to do so much as a fluid level check but...

In the past few weeks I've done a gearbox oil and dif oil change on the 190 and on Friday fitted my new exhaust.

What's happening :confused:

After you broke those first two nails you realised what a total waste of money that french manicure and intense moisturising treatment was and thought, hey, I may aswell get my hands dirty now :D

There is a certain sense of achivement attached to doing bits yourself! I replaced the back pads on one side of the car at the weekend, and was really impressed that i managed to do it faster than the mechanic did the other side :D

Very tempted to show that to my boss, who keeps going on about his MG "sports car", "i just joined the mg owners club.......etc etc"

One day i will leave at the same time as him (not early like he does :)) and show him a real car!
