Don't know if you guys can help me, i've had some pannels painted on my car the colour code and it came out too cream, like the uk 200sx white.
Its a 96' 180sx, and is called Cyrstal white.
Any ideas what i can do to try and match it ??
paint the full car in it??? :D
on a seroius note, you may have the right colour but your car may have already been painted??
arent all the white ones a pearl white or its that the imports??

Well being a 180sx its an import, the colour didn't match, and there was a lighter version and that didn't match either.
my car is very very bright white, but its flat, no pearl.
the car is original colour unless someone dipped it :D

You sure you got the right white Rich? Theres a prefacelift white that is a creamy colour then theres the facelift white which is I suspect the colour you need. Whats the colour code on the vin plate?
Not much help, but the Japanese *love* their white cars, so I think you often get multiple shades of white offered there which we don't get here (like, there are eight colours and three or four of them are some kind of white).
Whats the colour code?
Mine's Arctic white 326G My bodyshop guy had it down as Super white but the code was different iirc.
My UK car is 326 Arctic White, but the bodyshop that does my paint told me that there are three different mixes of 326.
One has blue in it, one has red in it and one has yellow in it. You'd never know this if you saw each one in isolation, but when you see them next to each other you can see they are slightly different.
Maybe that the same is true for 'Crystal White' and that yours is the blue tinted mix?
They were also telling me that some manufacturers have much more than 3 mixes for the same code. I think Ford were particularly bad!

Whats the code on the VIN plate?
Cristal White is 326
Yellowish White is KG5
Mine's KL0, so I would've thought yours would be QM1.

Is there an online list of S13 paint codes?
Theres all the possibility that your car has been dipped at one point.
Mines pearl white but i think its been resprayed at some point! which isnt reasurring as i needa front bumper and possibly replacing the whole kit along with it.
Isnt there a machine which body shops use which they hover over the paint and it tells them the colour code?
Or am i just making that up? lol
Pearl White is QX1. That could be the problem.
Some of mine is being painted today, used 326 as the code, then had it chipped up from an original panel.
I am confident the colour match will be spot on, but will confirm tomorrow with any luck

Its a kouki, its not the dull white that is on the facelift uk car, i had someone park next to it and mine is super super white compared to it.
but i've foud loads of kouki's on the internet that look the very same to mine.
My panels look like the uk 200sx colour.

Pearl White is QX1. That could be the problem.
But pearl white is pearl right ??
Mine is a flat white.. or is that jut the name.
ah and yes it says 326G, so looks like thats the problem.
So it could be that yours is the 326 with a blue tint and you had your panels painted in 326 with the yellow tint?

I have tried both versions of the paint.. both were way off in the shading. (too dull)
Mines wko pearl ... whats all this talk of qx1.
Why don't you whip the petrol flap off and get them to scan it? Don't forget to claybar the panel to remove all impurities first ;)

I gave them a headlight cover :wack: and it still came back the same bloody colour, i don't think they did anything with it, tbf they are a small body shop but do cracking work, i guess they don't have the correct tooling to do what your saying ?
Is there somewere i could get it done as you say and just buy the mix ?
what year is yours, and is it pearl, or just the name ?
Mines a 93 and yes it does have a yellowy bluey purpley pearl to it.
Take the panel to a car paint supplier and get them to mix up a batch.

i checked, it is 100% 326G.
So what year/models are you guys saying thats normally for ?? uk 200sx ?
it might be the same code as the import R33's which is "QM1". A mate of mine came round with his 33 and his colour, his car was much brighter the mine at the time (then).

Isn't 326 Arctic White? That's my UK S13s colour code.... and good to know 326 had different tints, mines definately the blue tint, always thought it had been washed with DAZ when it was super clean

Yeah its defo not 326G, i went to a paint place a few days ago and i tried to match it with colour chips and it does look like QM1, but slightly duller.
So sent the petrol flap off to be colour matched, and go from there, as i need my rear quater pannel repainted now.
