They have Nascar races in England??

I did notice a track on Nascar 2002 but though, na, its New England.

I think we have an amazing Ovel in this country, probably the best in the world, The M25 :)

I went to Rockingham last year and saw the Champ car qualifying and Ascar twice. The Ascar was OK but they need more cars to make the racing interesting. Its just a loud, fast procession of about 12 cars as I recall :sleep: Nothing like the USA Winston series that have massive grids :thumbs:

Yeah, as I found out today it was the ASCAR racing.

Boy was it loud, plus got to go round the pits etc. as my sister knew the drivers, and I got an access all areas pass.

Its a weird race, cos as soon ast theres a 170mph crash the race stops and the others go round for about 10 laps then they race again, so theres little proper racing time. We were having bets on how many laps they'd do before a 'stop' and we were beting and winning on 2 + laps per crash!!

Ah well, real good fun. Very pissed off at my digi cam, I took 60 pics then looked at the display and it said ZERO - bollox! it wiped itself :(

Gonna go again though, good day out. It was live on Chanel five today too, anyone see it?

I went as a passenger in a nascar in florida a few years ago at the Richard Petty Driving Experience (http://www.1800bepetty.com/) you could get instruction and a drive on your own but I didn't find out about it til the end of my holiday and had no cash left.

Was only 2 full laps but was feckin impressive, knew they were fast but didnt think they could corner like it did on the pit exit road which was flat.:thumbs:
