Last year some of us met up at cribbs causeway in the morning and then drove up from there.

convoy is a good idea but im out silly early on the track (9ish) so its gonna have to be an early convoy if i go

SteveB
07-05-2009, 19:27
yeah im out at 9:20, so the earlier the better. im up for meeting at cribbs i reckon 8 at the latest, beats sitting for hours in the queues to get in

Me too though I was hoping to be at Combe before 8. I was going to try and get to the 0815h drivers briefing.

I went stupidly early last year and there were still queues.

I'd rather meet at Cribbs too and then journey up the motorway. For the Performance Car Action day we went the back route and the cars got filthy:rolleyes:

IceBlade

i would recomend getting there at 7.30 or earlier cuz the stand gates open at 8 and i dont really wanna be sitting in a massive que of traffic to get into the stands...... what do you reckon steveB??

SteveB
09-05-2009, 07:23
ok 7:30am at the kfc end of cribbs car park i reckon. spread the word boys.

IceBlade
09-05-2009, 22:09
Steve man i would of thought 7 at the latest, because we are supposed to be there at 8 and theres always some reason why we have to wait for someone or something etc plus you know theres gonna be ques and we need a decent spot on the stand etc i dont want my back and in a bush or something.... people need to appreciate the work stu has put in in all its glory!!!

SteveB
10-05-2009, 09:39
no worries buddy, right 7am it is, my neighbours are gonna love me when i fire up the car at 6:30am :D

IceBlade
10-05-2009, 09:45
mine always love me at any time of day its that loud lol and yes steve ill bring a small selection of tools for you lol

might be an idea to edit your first post so that everyone can see the finalised time etc without trawling through

i think meet at 6;30 would be more realistic and less of a rush, aim to leave around 6;45 to get to combe for about 7;15, that leaves us plenty of time to que to get in and sorted

Cheers for the loan of the torque wrench.

New disks are now fitted. Can't believe yours is now prima'd. Was caked in dust yesterday with what looked like quite a bit of sanding left to do still.

Nice one, look forward to seeing it tomorrow.

Dan's 330mm Grooved Brembo big brake kit.

Didn't think of painting the grooves! Should of done perhaps.

jon200
15-05-2009, 20:40
they'd get dusted over nyway i guess. looking good anyway. you got new pads too?

Bristol Blue
15-05-2009, 20:43
No, which isn't ideal. The front pads have loads left on them. I am hoping that the groves will scrub off some of the hard surface before they have a chance to kill the disks?

jon200
15-05-2009, 20:48
I always fit new pads but you don't really need to if they are still flat. you might get some faint vibration through the pedal under hard braking due to the grooves. I do on my brembo's.
