I used to until recently

Managed to persude my employer to pay for broadband so I can "work" from home... :)

Even if I was paying it'd be worth it...

Used to be dial up, 'cos I couldn't get broadband, so I got ISDN. BT then decided I could get broadband:confused:

So, I've now got broadband:)

been with blueyonder broadband for 9 months now and i could never go back to a dial up..... I'm looking for a new house at the mo and i wouldn't even consider a house where i couldn't get broadband.

I'd recommend Blueyonder to anyone... their customer service is complete pants... but their connection is tremendous.... I only ever had a problem with it in the first few weeks. It's been working fine 24/7 since then.

MMMMMM 1Mb NTL cable nice, but keep yr eyes out for yr local electrcity company as the are trialing symetrical 2Mb lines running straight down yr mains suplly, very clean signal 2Mb up and down 40 quid a month.

Hands up who wants it.

ISDN is closer to dialup than broadband in terms of performance! Going from one to the other made a huge difference.

Just read that 6MB/s links are being tested using ADSL2 technology and availability up to 4 miles from an exchange.

I try to keep all my images under 30kb on the BB. Only polite, I think... :)

Amen to this!

I'll be losing my Blueyonder broadband at the end of the month as I finish Uni  and I have no way of paying the bill/rent until I get a job!

Although I'll be on dial up occasionally  as I'll be moving back south for a few weeks, my priority is to get a job in the Midlands where broadband is available!

I'm well depressed about this and should entice me to get a job sooner than later:thumbs:

I think it's Bulldog that are currently offering 4mbit dsl to anyone (central london only I suspect) who wants to stump up about £80 a month. Not too shabby.

My mate lives in a small town in Cornwall, he had the same problem, but apparently if enough people on the exchange register their interest in broadband B.T will uprate the exchange to do broadband, I'm sure he said it was about 500 people, he's getting his in June

I think it's 200 people, the Gower is also having similar trouble, but that is spartenly populated.
