Well, seeing as its only just over a week away, and no-body else has posted up about this i thought i would.
So, Who is going and what time?! :D :wave:
Simon and I are thinking of leaving J23 for 7am if that helps anyone :thumbs:

well we will be leaving at that time to try and beat the rush at coombe as it starts at 9am and if your on for the first track slot you need to be in control for 08:30 for breifing.
I am also working on getting 2 new bumpers ready for then seeing as my insurance company havent done anything about the guy who hit the front of my 13 :mad:
its usually an 8.10am briefing actually :p

Yep you'll hit a wave of traffic going in at 8;30 - 9,you'll need to be half hour either way! you'll fly in at 10 unles you wanted to see the first session? :thumbs:

Last year i went early and it was much better, no traffic or queue. Would rather that go later and have to sit in the car for 30 mins of so.
I have a briefing at 9:30 so looking at being there parked by 8:30am

If anyone is in the first session then they need to be there stupidly early, session is 9:20 IIRC so briefing will be probably about 8:30. :wack:

Surely those going on the stand need to be there at a silly time of the morning to? I'd imagine the Organisers would want as much of the traffic in before the gates open to the Rabble.

No Gates open to public at 9:00 stand cars etc need to be in before then ideally BUT they don't usually enforce it much due to the track being open etc.
You will get into the car park (non stand cars) before the gates are open though so don't panic :)

Yes they do as Minx says below but unless your there at stupid o'clock its impossible to physically get your car through the que to wave your Stand pass at the gate attendant to let you in on the narrow lanes.

Hey guys, my car isn't going to be ready for japfest as it won't pass the mot as it has 4 bald tyres :(
ordered tyres now and will have the car back mid week i think. gutted i'm not going, nevermind llandow is going to be fun :)

well just got back and my god what a day wind, rain and sun but thats not the good part all the action on track was fantastic :thumbs:
a few brakdowns and off's, to the extent one evo 7 blew its block to peices right by the pits :(. The best one though had to be the driftworks ps13 in the first drift demo plowing arse first into (through the tyres) the armco around the last corner, at the top end of 4th gear and bends the whole back end over lol ;) fantastic day though hope pdh get back ok left him at j24 :thumbs:

Was a great day, shame about the weather. Great to see a load of old and new faces. Nick tried to mate his car with mine on the way home when the traffic in the lanes slowed and he got caught out by a pothole in the road! :eek: That would ahve been a good insurance claim! lol. Don't think the TVR Tuscan at the toll booths on the bridge was expecting to have his arse handed to him by a 10 year old Datsun! :D

That pothole was nearly the end of it :rolleyes: applied brakes and nothing happened :wack: ended up tugging the bar and somehow managed to stop the car.

Yep he blew a nice big hole in the bottom of the engine and handbraked it right infront of the armco infront of the marshals with smoke pouring out.
Was lucky that that stopped the session as a pulsar also went up on the wait line as the marshals were dealing with the evo :wack:
How was the fotage paul? I appologise if its really shakey at times, but holding the camera, a golf umberella int he pouring rain with the wind gusting isnt easy lol :wack:

I will be mate but I won't be on the track lack of funds, I don't think my std suspension would cope to well with the tighter turns compared to Coombe:wack:
I have to say I was very impressed with my yellow stuff pads they were faultless from the first bend to the last (thank f*ck):nod:
Thanks to PDH for taking me out on track.....nobody pased us and we passed about 4 so all that money he has put into that car has finally paid off!! Its very nicely balanced , fantastic stopping power and fast!!
And also thanks to Dai for taking me out in that S13 Death trap!! lol never had soo much fun on track 1 off 2 twitchy moments and then a double 360 on the bottom stretch coming off the hairpin.....I have never known a car to lose control just coming on boost!! lol Dai is a fantastic driver though I would have stacked it on the first off!!

it was set up using a usb mouse and i have a green end mouse! just need to get a usb mouse thats all! :thumbs:

yup :) mboard is a bit old skool, so plug in a USB mouse when xp is already loaded, or download a standard PS2 mouse driver from google, which will make your wheelie button work on the mouse
