...Now if only I could find that video I had where a honda owner mishifts when racing. You can hear him say "oh s***" as the tacho spins past way redline :eek: Poor engine! :(

Nahh built to take it good ol honda's :D

Never done that bad in my civic, but my bro was bouncing it off the limiter about 5 times on saturday :mad:

did it on the way home from Billing, 7K 4th gear into 3rd.

That Eclipe was bouncing off the red line was it not whislst at the lights??

It did rev the balls off it thats for sure and the engine got totlally screwed!!! Anyine here had a blow-up like that???

Also, y did the honda rev so high, shouldn't it a limiter???

I think he must have launch control as it didnt sound like it was reving very high on the line and yet certainly sounds like its bouncing off the limiter.

Yes they have limiters but when you FORCE the transmission into the wrong gear, there's no way the engine can stop itself from momentairily revving to high heaven
