The bossman isnt too happy with the response. :(
Well since we are testing these forums out, we dont seem to be getting the response we were expecting. If things dont pick up soon, we may not be around next month to offer you guys tech, product and support.
So let us know what we can do for you
well I'm waiting for my bonus at the end of next month before ordering the dry-sump setup off you [might have to go through your web site now], i think things are a little tight at the moment due to job losses the recession, and bad pound to dollar exchange rate
Out of interest, what were your sales targets from SXOC members between the 02/04 (when you joined - 12 days ago) and now?
You haven't been here that long!
Not being funny, but you have only been here less than 2 weeks?!
If you were expecting a flury of orders straight away, sorry but Im not entirely sure its gonna work like that.
Give it time and things will start rolling in, but as Im sure its the case for others money is VERY tight atm :(
Until I saw this thread in the "new threads" search I didn't even know you were on SXOC.
Try getting around a bit more ;) Participate and get involved in the forum ;) Giving free impartial advice always makes people happy too ;)

this is an american company is it? so every order from us comes from the usa and is shipped? so what do you do just SR20 work? first time ive ever heard of yourselfs. seem abit of a strange thread you would start for your company
"Group-buys" always tend to do well on this forum. Have a look at the other trader sections on here and you'll see a lot of them have had success.
You can't expect to just open a section here and automatically expect the orders to come flooding in. BE PRO-ACTIVE!!!

Well we've asked for what people are looking for and have gotten very limited responses. We want to hear from you guys and give us feedback. That's all. We havent gotten alot of feedback from you guys as we were expecting since we were posting before and people were asking us to join.

Well, I would just like to say, in all my dealings with yourselves past and present, you guys have been very quick and professional and I am happy to give you repeat business.
Just thinking out loud, how about some fuel products? Swirl pots, lines, pumps, etc. I know that will probably be my next big(ish) purchase, but I have to watch my budget carefully at the moment.

Well ive heard f u if that helps lol, but looking at your website it doesnt seem to list much.
May help if you put up a thread with some more info about yourselves and what type of products u can actually supply.
Plus u gotta remember you have kinda chosen the wrong time as a US company to try and sell to UK residents with the exchange rate on the £ being so dire a lot of people are happy to wait.
Maybe you could develop (if you haven't already) a "top-mount" manifold for both CA and SR engines. These seem to be in demand / vogue at the mo but there doesn't seem to be many companies offering them.
These would sell well. IMO anyway...
You have to remember that a lot of the basic tuning stuff you can get off eBay these days very cheaply - admitedly the difference in quality between what's offered on eBay stores and yourselves will be massive but often the most important factor is price. As said, the weak £ doesn't help.

I think that maybe the current economic climate and the poor performance of the GBP does not help. Stick around as things will pick up:thumbs:

We do realize the currency rates are not on our side right now, but were trying to get the best prices on stuff to you guys. From the looks of it, it seems pretty reasonable if not cheaper to buy from us directly from the states still compared to everywhere else.
Dont hesitate to ask for anything. I had a random guy ask for wheels and we got him what he was looking for. I just gotta show the website is producing some kind of #'s for me to be able to stay onboard.
Keep the suggestions coming, they are more than welcomed :)

We are trying diligently to obtain parts to make parts for the CA18DET. Since the motor is not widely used here in the states, and is BIG over there, we've asked for some to donate parts to us so we can help out.
We know the CA18DET is huge over there, we've got a few things in mind. I believe we've almost got a stroker kit almost done :)
I will be honest i used to buy alot from the likes of apex an dw. But when the $-£ was 2-1 i was buying everything from the usa. I spent a fortune with titan mottor sport. I did look at your z32 gear box kits an have wanted one for a while but due to the drop in exchange rate it would not be worth it for a while. I would advise posting up as much info for us about your best selling products. There is noting worse than telling us how good your products are an how much you can do for us. You need to post info up on here an chace us.
Never heard of Mazworx? WTF have you been! :wack:
Tbh until they came on here,in the 5 years i have had my 200,i hadn't heard of them either! :wack:
Get us out of resesion and the orders will flood in! the exchange rate is killing us

My guess from what ive seen is that you guys are looking for more off the shelf parts than anything else... Is that correct? Like HKS, GReddy etc?
Garrett turbo's, ready made manifolds, head gaskets, heads/block stud/bolt kits, basically bolt on tuning parts, decent coil-overs, not cheap Chinese rubbish that falls apart, there are those amongst us that want custom made parts as well:nod:

Can someone tell me if the CA18DET exhaust manifold gasket is metal or paper like material?
What is wrong with the signature right now?
It just shows what you've done! not whats currently for sale!
And if you don't mind me being frank,it looks like a bunch of figures that i haven't bothered reading!
Get a proper little banner! or minimum add a bit of colour to it!

based on your response on the CA18DET intake pipe parts request:
i'd imagine you're going to have a few problems developing CA18DET parts without an RHD motor and chassis available (if you're particularly developing parts for the UK market that is, LHD is another kettle of fish (and most likely easier for you, find someone in the US who has a CA18 swap in the S13))
exhaust manifold on RHD has the problem of restricted space on the 4th runner due to the ABS. some manifolds required ABS to be moved slightly others removed altogether. vast majority of people are looking for a plug&play installation (which without either an engine bay or precise measurements is going to be a bugger)
inlet manifold - easier i'd imagine, much more space (except at rear around clutch master cylinder) and something i'd be interested in.
engine internals - difficult - pretty high competition already on this stuff. with the rates etc you're going to struggle.
i'd stick (to begin with) something you know you can provide plug/play kits for - i.e. Z32 transmission kits for the CA18 - you've got the experience making them for the SR20 so CA18 shouldn't provide much of an issue.
stick to what you're good at & what you're known for is my advice - i've always heard of mazworx being associated with the Z32 conversions & not much other stuff (though that's possibly my limited reading :wack: )
silly as it may sound put pictures of what your selling helps big time:nod:
As has already been stated, large part is the current exchange rate.
My brain still works on 2:1, right now it's just not really worth it IMO. I've not bought anything from the States for months :(
Can someone tell me if the CA18DET exhaust manifold gasket is metal or paper like material?
Head-Mani = multi-layered steel
Mani-turbo = steel
Well we've asked for what people are looking for and have gotten very limited responses.
Get out and about more ;)
Very few people are going to be spotting your posts unless it's an especially active thread, and I hadn't noticed your subforum at all. Get out and about more.
If you link back here from your signature and you start posting out in the main boards you'll get more traffic.

It's a cast iron "log" type. Fairly chunky and heavy lump of metal. The castings tend to be a little rough, but not too bad. It doesn't seem to be terribly restrictive until you get into higher power outputs.
Be ware the ABS block, as Alan mentions it can get in the way quite annoyingly.

It is the worst time in years to start trading in the UK.. Plain bad luck i guess.. Due to this so called credit crunch (stupid name) unemployment in the UK is at its highest for over a decade!! Many people are being made redundant from all types of manufacturing and service jobs. The people who do have jobs are being cautious with their money. It will improve as the year goes on. People on here know maxworks well and you are very respected. You only need to use the search button on here to see how many times you had a mention before you started trading on here.Your drag s15 is amazing!!. It is just a case of being patient I'm afraid. I hope this clears things up a little !! :) Im off to have some cereal.
Ive ordered the z32 adaptor kit from you and more recently a z32 machined box too!!
ive been very happy with the service ive received and considering the distance you are from us the delivery times have been spot on.... surprisingly similar to what uk suppliers can do lol!
very impressed with the quality of the gear and the support over the phone also
i will be looking to purchase a built engine from you (minus turbo) soon for my s14, so will be in touch!!
thanks guys

gotta say exchange rate too, its fcuked us over, this time last year im sure people would'v been all over parts from u guys, im pleased to see ur interest in the ca18 as i feel some of our traders tend to neglect it and opt for sr parts, definately stick around and see if the economy picks up as people love a bargain!

As has been said, unfortunately I think you've just missed the boat by a couple of years :(
You sent me a crate full of Z32 gearboxes and the service/price was great. I know the service won't have changed, but the price has gone up by over 30% now thanks to the state ok the UK economy.
