Is there an SXOC IRC channel?

I did a search but the information within the posts were obsolete and the rooms no longer existed or were empty.

Does anyone use IRC to chat? I tend to use ICQ anyone use that one too?

I am on the undernet network (one of the biggest) with the nick yeager, I did open a channel, put some bots in it, but I dont think most of the people here use IRC daily and therefore I didn't bother keeping the channel open.

Not wishing to criticise harshly, but it would make a lot more sense to have a club channel on one of the larger IRC networks, Undernet, EFNet, Dalnet.

I visited yeager's channel a while ago, it was him and a few bots :/

I know yeagar's very protective of undernet's clear size superiority, but http://netsplit.de seems to indicate there's an even bigger network out there on the internet. that and it's just him in his channel, and he didn't reply to me for 24 hours even though he kept switching nicks. :(

yak, aboijj, I and a few others are regulars in #sxoc on irc.quakenet.org so far :)

for those of you who haven't used mirc before..

Get a client:

http://ftp.newnet.co.uk/pub/mirrors/mirc/mirc612.exe

Install it :)

load it up, put in your nickname(important), email addr and real name (garbage if you want :P )

make sure quakenet is selected in the server list, close the settings window.

click the connect button (top left)

it'll join quakenet or prompt you for more details.

once it's joined, it will by default popup a favorites list, put in #sxoc and click join

thats all there is to it. wow, I haven't run mirc in years :)

that wasn't me, it was a bot holding my nick for me :) When it changes nick it means i've logged in and am somewhere else!

I created the channel and found no-one used it, so i diudn't bother going back.
