I'm a lazy barsteward and dont like typing in the track names as I rip a CD, so I use the name CD tracks feature. Only problem is the fvcking piece of sh1t useless database that it seems all music progs use has the wrong track listing!!!!FFS:mad:
Anyone know of a bit ripper that just uses the CD text info on the bloody disk (FFS)

Plextools that comes with plextor cdrw drives can do this, never used it myself but i can see the option for it.

I also dont listen to much mainstream stuff, so half the time, freedb dont have the track listings.

Anyone know of a free wav-mp3 converter?

Audiograbber will do wav-mp3 conversion, it can also look for tracknames in it's own database, windows cdplayer database, cd text, or freedb and you can change the order which it looks for them too.

I use Lame, supposed to be one of the best I believe :)

Audiograbber lets you use external encoders like Lame, so you can do a cd-mp3 with no wav rip.

Just found EAC lurking in the depths of my computer:o
That uses LAME too.
Has anyone here got an MP3 headunit for their car, and if so, does it support VBR mp3's?

I've got a Kenwood M6021G headunit which can play vbrs.
