Right, all you boys and gals running in the Time Attack series - There's a new class in the Nippon Challenge for this season that allows in cars over 500bhp, sequential gearboxes, aero packages, etc.

This means you can now compete in both series if you want to!

Are you all out at the same time? How do grid starts etc work? I might come and play in the Skyline :)

EDIT: Ignore, doesnt matter. I looked up the answers on the fourm :)

Can you enter the odd race or do you have to commit to the full season? I have never raced before, would the Skyline be too much to start in?

IMO, If you know the car very well then I can't see a problem.
A hot hatch is supposedly the ideal thing to learn racing in but that would involve learning a new car and different driving style, so I'd say stick with what you've got. Thing's will just happen a bit faster! :D

the good thing with the classes being a bit varied, is something with 400bhp plus, will pull away from the things with 300bhp and under(apart from the super light suzuki swift) so you'll have some free space after settling into a rhythm.

Its a good watch, todays races won by a ~400bhp-ish evo, with maxim taylors RX7 close behind, then the swift and Hondas cleaned up. Crying out for some rear/four wheel drive nissans asap really

Ill see how busy Im going to be this year. I intended to go racing in the Skyline next year but was going to mothball it for this season and prep over winter. It might be an idea to cut my teeth before jumping into a full season so, if theres time and funding, I might move things forward :)

Ooooh, Bren - Not too sure about having a Yank V8 out there amongst the folks. You'd best speak to the organiser before making any plans. Engine swaps are allowed, but usuallly within the Marque. (ie. Toyota/Lexus 1UZFE V8 is ok in a Toyota, RB25/6 in a 200SX, etc).

Loads of fun was had by everyone, lots of videos and photos available on the forum: http://nipponchallenge.14.forumer.com/index.php
