I'll be there :thumbs:Actually, no I won't be there :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed:
I was reminded last night that I have a meeting to attend in Manchester on Wednesday. The meeting won't be finishing until after 5pm, so I'm definitely not going to make it
Oh for fcuk's sake :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed:
The meeting isn't this week - despite the protestations of my father - it's actually at the end of the month :wack:
So, I WILL be coming along on Wednesday as originally planned :o :D

:whip::clap:
:whip::clap:the only saving grace is that an e-mail has been sent out to all the attendees to remind them that it isn't this week - it appears that my father wasn't the only one who thought it was on Wednesday :wack: . I did have a few choice words with him, but then he's getting old so I can't be too angry :D

I'm 99% sure the S13 won't be there...
Although I have sorted out an issue I was having with my coilover's, I still have to do a full "proper" start up (it's been sat for 3 months...) and fit clocks/seats - basically, I got way too drunk this weekend and wasn't in any state to spend a decent amount of time on the car! :wack:

lol. i doubt ill be along in the s13 either. air leak + turbo issue + a very very very low exhaust due to new elbow = fail.
so ill pop up in the pug of love

Don't worry mate I believe you have got a 200:nod: Even though you never show up in it!
Mind you I can't talk - the last time I drove mine was at the last meet! Need to get my a$$ in gear and decide what I'm going to do with it!:annoyed:

I found a MASSIVE air leak when I was working on the car yesterday - I wondered why the fuel economy had been shot to shit recently (I'd put it down to the ridiculously short journeys I've been doing) and also why the boost was coming in late - and the car is just a peach to drive again :smitten:
Now I've just got to sort out the alignment (fine for track, but the state of the roads is making the car frightening to drive :ghey: ) and get the tyre valves tightened up (RAYS valves supplied with the Rota copy wheels ;) ) as one of the tyres is leaking air faster than Mr Methane
And Stuffing, you don't need seats or clocks to drive the car. Sit on the floor and guess your speed. Otherwise, nobody is going to believe that you've actually got this fabled S13 thingy that you keep harping on about :p :D
........ and the car is just a peach to drive again :smitten:
Guesing you sorted the leak then?
Guesing you sorted the leak then?Yep. Back to full boost by a little over 3K and face tearing acceleration.
The vacuum feed pipe from the AVC-R pressure sensor was split in half for about 4cm and it was a miracle it was still actually attached  . The vacuum pipe to the fuel pressure regulator was also on it's way out. Replaced both with a bit of samco I had lying around and job's a good 'un :)
Popping the sports cat out probably hasn't done any harm either :D . You'll get to hear the exhaust in it's full, un-strangled, glory tomorrow night. Want a quick passenger ride on the back roads again? ;)

Barring complete epic disaster, it's in for it's MOT and to have the spreader plates welded in for the roll cage on the 9th, so next meet, it's there!

Hahaha! damn you's!
I'm going to a guy I trust with my car (a few of the old school crew from round here will remember H), and getting him to sort out everything I've identified as a potential issue before putting it through the MOT, so unless I forget something really obvious like putting the washer bag back in ( :wack: ), it should pass without issue! :)

Himself, Merlin, Green Meaney, Sideways Danny and a couple of others were at the first meet I went to at the Robin Hood way way way back when :o

ok, it's probably best that I say "I'm not sure what kidn of S-body he has, but it's definately an s-body!"
I thought the white ps was his misses' car, I'm pretty sure he was selling that on driftworks a while ago now... Though I should imagine I'll get the chance to have a good catch up with him when I go pick my car up! :)

Ok good stuff glad it's sorted mate! Won't saw no to a quick blast  Think I am 99% there in keeping my car - so another ride in yours should seal the deal!:D
Only thing is I might be there a bit later tonight - hoping to be there about 8pm or so as I have some stuff to do after work. If it's too late then next meet:nod:

I didn't see anybody take any pictures, but to be quite honest, they would all have been ruined by Stuffing's euro scrabble-wagon :wack: :p

I actually thought about taking some pictures, but the light was too low by the time I thought about it! :annoyed:
My euro scrabble wagon would only have improved the pictures! :wack::rolleyes:
It was a good turn out, nice to meet strangeman, and cheers to randomnine for the ride, the HSD's are pretty damn impressive, I just hope mine's as good!

What were they like? Really stiff? I'm guessing you all didn't go on the motorway etc - I would like to know how they react to bumps at speed?

We didn't go out on the motorway - on the bumps, they were really good over the minor stuff, but obviously like all coilovers on the big bumps you really felt them! They were stiff, but not unreasonable on the road, which is pretty much exactly what as I was after by buying the hsd's!
My car's got loads of polybushes and some rose joints already, so I think mines going to ride a little harder, but hopefully not too much :)
