Could be a stoopid question, so feel free to deride at your pleasure ........
I have just found out that the rocco I bought actually has no MoT (I was told it had 6 months  )
Its a bit of a smoker - the valve stem seals are on the way out, and although it doesnt smoke all the time, it puffs out a cloud every so often.
I was wondering if anyone knows whether it might pass an MoT anyway - I bought the car for next to nothing and want to avoid spending any money on it, so dont really want to waste 50 odd quid failing an MoT with it. Will it fail on emissions?
The only thing I still have on my side is that the car is still in the other blokes name, so if its isnt going to get another ticket, I can just leave it on double yellows until it gets towed away - that should piss the previous owner off a bit :D
Anyone know??

If you back the ignition timing right off and bring the idle back up with the idle by-pass valve (I presume it's K-jet?) then the resultant afterburn in the exhaust manifold is usually enough to take care of any stray HCs.

Just don't drive it too far like that.....
