Whats the point ??? ...... none of them do what they say they are going to do ...... and your taxes continue to soar !

If they appended it to the lottery so everone that voted was put into a draw and the winner gets £1000000 ..... then I'd vote

The old gibber tory that was the counciler for my ward only lost by 46 votes last time so it make you feel that your vote is worth more and ca actualy make a differnece!

Nope, never have, not even the general election. When a politician/ party appears that isnt a lying, deceitful, self obsessed arsehole will be the day I will vote.

A favourite quote of mine (not sure who said it) is that you dont vote for the politician you like the best, you vote for the politician you hate the least.

Dont think I'll ever be voting.

Well me mum aint any of the above although she admitidly only a town and parish counciler. I think she quit the Labor party as a protest againt the war in Iraq and is now standing as an indipendant.

No. Don't vote these days. If our council did internet voting, I might be tempted. As they can't be ar$ed, neither can I. :D

I would vote if i got a polling card through.....

I would definitely not vote for any of the main parties. I don't trust any of them to do anything that will benefit me at all. I'd rather vote for someone with a backbone that uses a little common sense every now and again.

Last general election, I voted for "The Circus Party"
Their manifesto included having a big top in the centre of every town, making circus studies part of the school syllabus, and having some kind of "circus national service" thing :D
I like these ideas :D
Not doing the locals - theyre all the bloody same anyway

I voted last week as they are trialling voting by post in our area. Good idea, they already had more turnout by last week's delivery than they actually finished up with last year !!

Nope, i am of the opinion that there are no worth while parties to vote for, for the reasons oulined by Steve Carter. Untill such a time i won't be voting either, but i get the impression that the devil himself will by going to work on a snowplough before i will be voting again.

I would love to see what would happen at the polling stations during a general election if you could vote "no confidence in any of the above".

I'd make a point of turning out to vote for that. I'd prefer to let then know that i don't want any of them in power, instead of voting for the one i disliked the least.

I dont think I could be bothered to go out to a polling station to vote that I didnt want to vote .... cant be bothered wasting my time when no one is going to listen anyway.

However if they enabled telephone voting or email voting ... then I would vote for the abstain to vote box

I work in Schools IT Support. Went to one of my schools today to fix some problems, walked thru the door and found 3 incredibly bored looking old ladies sitting in the room. Was a little shocked as i was expecting the uber fit IT coordinator woman to be there :(

"Umm, hi im from Schools IT Support..." i said.

"ARE YUO HERE TO VOTE???? http://www.hlccl.com/forums/images/smilies/doubledotdee.gifhttp://www.hlccl.com/forums/images/smilies/doubledotdee.gifhttp://www.hlccl.com/forums/images/smilies/doubledotdee.gifhttp://www.hlccl.com/forums/images/smilies/doubledotdee.gif"D: they said nearly pouncing on me...

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" i screamed as i ran from the building.

Bring back the monster raving looneys :(

They wanted to put the houses of parliament on wheels, so it could be shared with England and Scotland :D

You should vote really. It's voter apathy which allows people like the BNP psychos to gain council seats - all their supporters turn out, and stand a good chance of winning due to the generally low turn out voting against them.

Steve - yeah, politicians are crap, but I'd rather have crap than a bunch of bigots running the local council.
