Anyone live in Bracknell?

Still waiting for the house to go on the market :rolleyes: Must be something to do with me getting the former mr TAC to mod the car instead of doing the work that the house needs before we can sell it :D

Anyway, in the meantime I was looking at where I could move to - does anyone know anything about Bracknell? Nice place to live, or not? Getting lots of house details from Birch Hill, Crown Wood etc - are these OK places to live?

Why are you thinking of moving to Bracknell.
Its an alright place, but theres shit all there! Also, some of the housing estates are a bit large and look a tad scabby!

I used to work there and live just outside in Woodley - Bracknell is not a nice place to live im afarid - try and get a place in woodley/wokingham - not much difference in price

I used to live in Binfield, just north of Bracknell, and it's just one HUGE computer industrial estate. I wouldn't bother, Binfield is nice but there are not enough facilities and you have to go to Bracknell for shops etc,

I agree with whats been said, it's a shitehole and no mistaking. Try going a bit further out to Warfield/Winkfield and towards Windsor/Ascot way. Try the estate agents in Ascot and also try these boys:

Best thing to do is visit Bracknell and then drive out til you find some nice places, there are a lot of nice villages around!

Actually TAC, Wokingham is lovely, and if you need bigger shops / facilities Reading isn't far away...
