hi guys
went for a nice drive today, started at bristol, m5ed it to the a39 and went down to dunsted castle ,but wouldnt let my dog in because she was bouncing about like a coiled spring, bear in mind she just had a tearer ride from bristol and she hates the car, so we carried on to minehead, couple of hours walking the dog and got board so jumped back in the car and went on a random drive
OMG i found something called porlock hill...WTF it starts as a 1/8 hill, im thinking this is quite steep glad its not wet,
then i see a left hooker sign and another sign saying 1/6, hummmmmmmm
this is geting interesting
and to top it off when you get near the top theres a real nasty bend that just rises stupidly, I went round it and the rear wheel was in the air
i think it would make a great up hill run and challenge anyones driving skills
anyone driving that way should pay it a visit:thumbs:

They used to pull Lifeboats up there when they couldn't launch from Minehead lol real men
Also I have done this as a passenger in a Astra van in 91 with the wife driving LOL she wouldn't look out the window on the cliff run with the sandtraps on the downhill kin brakes were on fire

they must have been monsters to drag a life boat up that hill.:notworthy
as for coming down the hill, i let her roll down in 3/2 gear, was a bit scary  i even pulled in and let the transit van go first:wack:
when we got to the top we stop to let the dog have a run around and my turbo timer stayed on for almost two minutes and i was taking it easy going up...
also need to apoligise to the 4x4 i over took on the a39,,,, flicked up a bit of tree branch on passing and it hit the guys wing mirror,,,, folded it back, sorry mate hope it didnt break.
but as for porlock hill,,,,, crazy bit of tarmac:nod:

bb any chance of a quick once over my motor on saturday, cant work out if the rusting air sound is boost leek or airfilter noise, boost great from 2800-5000 ish then drops off fast,, im still on the wmic,

I have a spare WMIC! - Is likely to be the cause of boost leaks. Best off getting an FMIC fitted though.
Can certainly take a look at it in Saturday. (Are you getting any hissing, whistling noises when on boost?)
