Can i ask all of you who have had a quote or taken a policy with us let me know how good you felt the service was, and if you have any comments on how you think we could improve.
Kind regards
Rob

The quote was good, but bearly better than Tesco. Then again, I'd imagine it takes some doing to get my insurance down considering most other quotes come in 400+ more.
Ways to improve - all insurance companies should use higher resolution crime maps - I live with a poor postcode but in a nice area with little car crime and it whacks my premiums up massively for no good reason.

My quote was barely higher than what I am paying at the moment. The difference being that all my modificactions were listed rather than having to be selective, especially about the engine mods.
I havent gone into the details of the policy but if it has the same cover as my current policy (track day cover etc) then I will be going over to insure shop when the cars back on the road.
Improvements? Agreed value would be nice and like for like replacement for any parts stolen etc. I dont think there are many companies that do this however.
Quote and service was fine, I will defo be back at renewal time
whats the contact details for this insure-shop??
my insurance isnt due till november, but its always good to try places that have been reccommended....
mine shouldnt be too much, over 25, 9yrs ncb, never had points, boy i've been lucky!!!!!

Alan,
Well in respect to the cover notes we dont send them unless requested due to the fact that royal mail are not exactly reliable and so keep them in your file at our office until requested or until your policy arrives. So if you wish for it to be sent then i will do it for you today.
In respect of people not getting there policies straight away this is down to the fact that the insurers have so much extra work now due to this scheme and so are running about 2 weeks behind.
Agreed value.
Well i think i have covered this subject in a previous thread, but we are trying to get the insurers to do this for us and it is going to reviewed in six months time as they want to get an idea of how much premium we are going to write with them in a twlelve month period and get an idea of claims experience. As lomg as every thing goes according to plan and you lot dont make too many claim then it will be more than likely that they will give us this facility.
I am glad to here that so far every one is happy and i hope to keep doing business with everyone on this board.
If there is anything i have missed out please post below so i can reply.
cheers

I had already requested that the cover note be sent to me last week :(. I like to have one just in case.
If you can send me one today that would be great.
Thanks

Best price by a fair margin, (for second car, not 200), after phoning around 10 others.
Perhaps a renewal quote for the 200 (in a few months time), will beat my present insurer?!;)
Rob,
I was very pleased with the service I got, hence why I took the policy out, nuff said :)
No complaints at all.
Best quote by far, and cheapest by a long way for installments :D :D
Superb friendly service too. :)
I've had a quote from them for £900 FC. Beat Tesco by £27 and NO-ONE beats Tesco :D
Just waiting for a reply about mods now :)

I phoned yesterday and took out a policy, very good service and happy to answer any questions I had  . Plus it's under £1600 which is the cheapest quote I had (still a bit  but :D compared to other places).
Ta Rob :)
Every mod on my car is now declared, (originally none ) and it was only an extra £90 :)

Matt,
Looking into this quote for you now, The dam insurance company did not listen to what we said and based the quote on a GT-R!!!!!!!!!!! so will get another price for you
Rob wastegate
21-05-2003, 14:58
Sorry Matt, the insurance company (norwich union) dont want to play ball, i am sure they have done this on a Gt-r but they are not willing to check.
Try us again next year and we will have schemes for all the skyline family and more!!
Cheers

DO mods add a lot extra on to the price of the insurance dependin on age?
If im 24 and add a dump valve and induction kit and alloys and lower it and stuff. not too much would it only be about £90 ? or are we talkin 100s?
Do u have to declare mods? or is it just incase they get stolen? Cause If there stolen I will deal with it myself, im not likely to claim.
I'm 22, originally nothing was declared, now everything for 300bhp is now declared.

Is that with Robs company?
Can I just post here and tell him my best quote and c if he beats it?
Cause it will have a few mods on it.
Is ur insurance invalid if u have mods and dont mention them? or do u not have to mention them until u renew ur insurance
Rob wastegate
09-06-2003, 09:42
You have to declare all mods even if you are midway through your policy and change something. Give insure-shop a call 01773 530161 and they will give you a quote, please advise of any mods, but we wont charge you an arm and a leg for them.
cheers

Hi Rob,
Do you guys stick to a set 'formula' for mod additions? Or is it, as it seemed with Tesco, rather an inexact science? I got two different quotes from adding alloys to my 205 on 2 different days for the same wheels and car (I lost the first quote so rang again). Then when I rang up to renew the guy on the phone advised me not to mention my alloys cos it added an extortionate amount (more than the value of the alloys) and if I didnt tell them they simply wouldnt replace them if they were pinched.
JB (Still looking for a black or dark grey S13 at a sensible price in the Northwest)

It is done on individual merit, but if we quote you a price then that is the price you pay

Rob,
When we ring, do we have to ask for you to get any sort of "special ***** discount":D ;) ?
My insurance is currently through the roof, part and parcel of being 19 and wanting to get a 200sx!!
Also, got 9 points - 3 sp30's. Livid.
I will call, but just wondering on J reg 200sx, £2000 value, 8k miles a year, 9 points. 2 years ncb, no accidents.
Cheers
Scott
Just bought the next years policy from you today. Excellant value at (am i allowed to say?):D It beat Adrian Flux by £15, both policies did have my mods declared. It beat my renewal (AA no mods) by £180!!, beat esure.com by £60 (no mods).
So all in all a very happy bunny:D
Cheers Rob and Mike

With yerself I'd hope - only got yourself to blame for getting got 3 times - once is an accident, twice is careless, thrice is just plain stupid and pushing up the cost of everyone elses insurance too - give it a rest you muppet.
