There is a company which sells kits in the UK for Duel R1 engined mini's, driving the rear wheels only :D

Erm, am i the only one who see's those and thinks "yeah but its still only a mini....." ???

They also put VTEC engine sinto mini's i fail to see the point, and yes b4 anyone says oh but 50 million bhp in a light weight car..... yeah true, but when that rapidly fast car hits a wall at rapidly high speed and the mini being made of paper thin metal folds around you......

Maybe its just me and my "crazy" common sence :rolleyes:

Yep, you're missing the point entirely mate. :rolleyes:

A lot of people who are 30+ started their tuning with Minis or Escorts MK1's, Mk2's etc and therefore have a certain fondness for them, if you'd ever been lucky enough to drive a race Mini with 130bhp at the wheels I think you'd quite like them too.

A well tuned Mini can be a 'giant killer' against more powerful cars in the same way that an S13 or S14 can be against a Porsche/Lotus etc and at the end of the day if you hit a wall at high speed in most cars you're fecked.

Imagine a 600kg rear wheel drive Mini with 900bhp from two 450bhp bike engines. 8 Cylinders, 8 howling carburettors/throttle bodies, 32 valves, two turbos, 13,500 rpm red line....

1500bhp per ton.......splumph :D

I had a mini before I got my S13, and even though it only had 45ishbhp I still regret selling it every day:eek: :(

Errr.....you wouldnt be ****ed cause it would have more roll cage in it than body work :D

Well mine would anyhow, I wouldnt want to drive a mini unless it was ULTRA CAGED ;)

You cant get the point of bikes either then. 150bhp with no metal to fold up around you in an impact.

Have you ever driven a mini? They are great. Used to razz round in my sisters 1100, slow as you like but foot to the floor everywhere. Triffic fun.:)

Minis are wicked. I still want one, just can't afford / have the space for a 3rd car :(

We used to go hump-back bridge jumping in my mates little 1000cc one :)
