Following a great day out in February we are now planning our next attack on the drift stages at Oulton Park. We will be running there on May 9th with the usual free instruction, limited numbers and lots of sideways action :D

This is a bit of what we get up to -

There is virtually zero tyre wear due to the special low friction surface and SXOC members get a discounted rate of only £120; just sign up on this thread if you'd like to come along

Well, technically it could be 'we' seeing as that's me in the passenger seat ;)

We've got an event the week before but if the car is OK and we've some spare money we'll fetch the buggy again.
Should have the front suspension sorted out a bit better by the end of the week so it might actually turn in on the tarmac this time around...

Try racing wets on the front and knackered road tyres on the rear Phil that seemed to work pretty well for me, err, I mean we :D

Yes, I noticed!
It's alright, Ed's let me chop the front beam to pieces to sort it out, it'll never be fantastic but it should be a lot better, double wishbone front end next winter, that'll sort the fecker.

I see you managed to convince the invisible man to go out for a ride...

Should know if Guy's taking the Fouquet on Thursday, seemed interested in a track day that doesn't result in melted tyres :D

Is this being held on both the rally stages? Because I'm scared of armco.
I'll have to see how the car is doing before I commit to anything though.

Yeash it will be  If your scared of the armco then just slow down for that little section.

We had a great time last weekend, a good group of drivers and plenty of tracktime

We had a brave man in a brand new Porker -

SXs were a bit thin on the ground this time but we're doing another one on July 25th so I'm hoping a few of you will come along then!

Bah, new car's due to be finished mid-August, that's no good, you got any winter ones planned Steve?

Steve PH
16-05-2009, 21:31
One at the end of September and we're back at Oulton on the main circuit in November so a couple of good chances there..............

BuggyofDoom
17-05-2009, 01:18
Taking it to France at the end of November - 26th to 29th, if it's before then the main circuit might be a nice test for it.

7 forward gears on the new one, I don't think we'll run out of gearing this time around!

Edit: 20th eh, bingo!....:D
