I'm sat here watching the baseball, mariners v yankees, and I love it. It is so much more interesting than any sports that come from over here (including football). :)

Why are our sports so boring? :(

Come on, action, excitement and fights. ;) :D You don't get that on the football pitch. Baseball and ice hockey is so much more interesting to watch. :D

Ive been to Yankee stadium and the atmosphere was amazing, real entertainment!

Aye, but the game is dull as arseholes. Basketball, American Football, Ice Hockey I love, but baseball is reet boring. Wheres the tension, the passion, the team element??
Now if you want proper TV sport, you want the Darts. Magic stuff :)

Baseball is without a doubt, the dullest game to grace the history of sports.

A guy stands there, another guy throws ball at him ... swipe miss.
A guy stands there, another guy throws ball at him ... too high
A guy stands there, another guy throws ball at him ... too low
A guy stands there, another guy throws ball at him ... swipe miss
A guy stands there, another guy throws ball at him ... too left
guy walks to fist base
A new guy comes out
A guy stands there, another guy throws ball at him ... swipe miss
A guy stands there, another guy throws ball at him ... swipe HIT
ball bounces up to another guy, new guy runs to 1st base, 1st guy runs to second base
A new guy comes out

And it continues ... on and on and on ..... action ladies ... a sport needs action !! ... otherwise it should be called a game !

Sorry Hayley, I have to agree with the others - baseball is the worst game I've ever seen. Even cricket it more interesting

I too thought that baseball was boring.

Went to Canada and went to see the Blue Jays play live, and had all the rules etc explained.


Made it much better, and now love it:D

Its more complicated than it appears, and is great to watch live.

I think baseball is ok, only thing on tv late at night, channel 5. Didnt really understand it at first, but now I know the rules I think its good. I guess more people would like it if it was a sport played over here.

Yeah and that was just one innings.

I'm not denying that there is more to baseball than meets the eye, and that it is a complicated game ...... But .... I feel a game of Risk is equally complex, with more action, takes the same time to play out .... and would probably draw more of an audience at 2am in the morning on UK tv.

As for Cricket .......... the idea of cricket, is not to watch the sport ! .... the idea of cricket is go go along, sit on the grass in the sun, get totally blathered to the sound of leather and willow clacking together, and cheer boisterously when everyone else does. .............. cant say I understand cricket at all .......... but would never turn down going to a game !
