... since no one actually replyed to my project thread - here it goes again!
Hi ya,
Its been a while since i posted here but honestly coming here to post when your 200-less and in the freezing winter isnt a good idea as it just helps to remind me how much i miss driving it, anyway finnaly after a good 2 years of looking around i found a place to move to and as such the beast needs to drive onto a trailer ... either that or i need a pretty big crew to push it up the trailer so i've decided to step up (and the summer's coming anyway) and get it to start!
So far so good i've bought a few bits i wanted (unfortunatly not all of them but i'll leave that for another time) and i've put alot back together (still alot to go though) but i've hit a couple of road blocks the major one being one of my data storage HDDs died a couple of months ago and since i've been suffering with loss of important stuff, incuding the latest one being the lack of the S14/a Service manuals which i had on there, now i need to know part numbers to order gaskets as well as torque settings to put stuff back together!
Anyway i was just hoping some one might have a copy of the S14 Service Manual and the S14a supplement as well would be nice!
Thank you!

It has the opposite effect on me. -Calms the shakes!
Give me the hard drive and I should be able to retreive the data. (I've never had a HDD where I couldn't:thumbs: )
Was it encrypted?

Lucky you, i couldnt even think about anything 200 related without getting exited and having a "brave" moment thinking i could beat the cold to go working on it but it always only lasted untill i stepped out of the door!

It wasnt encrypted but it was in a wired file system SFS (secure file system) not even our in-house data recovery service person with all his fancy know-how managed to get anything usefull out of it.
I upgraded the firmware on my NAS server as it didnt have very good printer support and the F/W release info didnt say nothing about backing up data so i didnt think it would just go ahead and take the liberty of destroying the partition table - which it did!
Anyway thanks for the offer but its been a couple of months since it happened and even if there was something left there at the time i've been using it since i doubt there would be much at all left now!

I'll email it when I get home, mate. What's your mailbox size limit?
The original S14 manual is hosted by Jezz_S13 too:

Super, i've got the manuals now all i'm missing is a couple of gaskets unfortunatly i was on the phone to the guy at nissan to get the gaskets i need but he could only find me part numbers for 2 of the 3 i couldnt explain to him (or he coulnt find it at least) what the 3rd gasket was so i'm gonna have to take a picture of the bit that needs it and i shall e-mail it across to him to see if he can work it out - i was soposed to have done that this evening but i went out instead... i know shame on me!
Still one of the gaskets aparently is only avaliable from amsterdam so its gonna take a bleedin' week to get here anyway so there goes my plans for getting it started by sunday/monday!
have u tried Apex or driftworks etc for gaskets? nissan wanted to charge me £160 for a standard ARB and would take 2 weeks to ship from amsterdam... i ended up going to driftworks and getting a nice whiteline ARB for £125

Nissan wasn't too bad on gaskets i got a complete inlet gasket set for £28 unfortunatly it's gonna take untill mid next week for them to arrive, problem is i wanted to get the car started on sunday/monday so it looks like i'm gonna be breaking out the korn flakes box and making some temp gaskets out of that!

cheers but its far too late for that now, i've been using the drive for 2 months now after the data was lost so considering the amount of read/writes on top of what was there before doubt theres anything usefull left there!
