I just bought myself a brand new Jeep to ride around when my 2***** is at the garage and when I have had something to drink (like now for example...) :D

Monroe front fork, DNM (or sumthin) rear coilover, RSV disc front brake, Shimano Acera/Alivio gears. It's nice. :)

Nice :D what does she weigh ????

I so want a disk at the front, the inevitable 30mph downhill, after that muddy rut, sh1t no brakes realisation gone though water, dried, mud, dried, water, dried, wheels rims are now as slippery as hell novelty is wearing off ... want a disk brake !!!!

I say again .... nice !!!! :D

IIRC it was 37.5lbs, dunno what that is in kilos but I think it's more than what my old MTB was. But then again, my old MTB didn't have any suspension, and that's the kind of stuff that's bound to add some weight...

The courier brought me this bike to my work so I only rode it back home from work. So not much experience yet. As I said, it's my first MTB with suspension, so I was just wondering if the front suspension is supposed to make a slight "bang" when I wheelie it? I figured the sound comes from the springs shooting back to full extent, but I dunno if it's supposed to do that...

Other than that it felt really good. :) The tires aren't exactly the best for asphalt, but they are ok... :D

V nice.. I was dreaming of a new bicycle when I drove back from my mom and dads and decided to cut it short through forest and cliffs. It actually made the way much longer but I enjoyed it. I had forgotten how much fun it is to ride MTB like they are supposed to and not just on the asphalt.

Paljonko maksoi, jos saan kysyä? = How much was it if I may ask (in finnish :D )

It's not really supposed to do that, but they do. It's because the forks are low specification. There is no rebound damping on the front forks and as you say, the spring is extending quickly and banging the fork against the end of its travel. More expensive forks have damping to slow the travel down and sometimes another set of springs in the top. If you can ignore the noise then it's not a problem :D

There's a lot more to a full suspension bike than a rigid one and the bike companies have to make compromises in the components to make the bike for the price.

Ale, alle donanhan se oli.. :)

I actually took the bike to the woods today for the first time, and it was nice. :D A problem occurred on this trail, though, when there was an uphill of sand with about 30 degrees elevation, the wheels got all "filled" with sand and I had to walk the bike up. :( Then I noticed that because I had to install the rear fender too close to the wheel, it gathers sand and passes it on to the chain. Which can't be too good. :) So, I headed to a gas station, washed the sand off, bought some chain oil in a spray can and oiled the chain and gear changers. Got rid of the sandy noise but kept the squealing it developed, too. :-o

I don't think the front fork is really okay, or then it just may be of really sucky quality. It keeps on maxing out (I mean, like banging all in) all the time, gotta get it looked at by the shop. If I could get some stiffer springs or something. Maybe it's designed for girly boys that weigh less than 90 kilos or something.. ;)

:D They usually are, if you are a bit larger than that then you might need stiffer springs
