Just to let everyone know, the Redline Rumble at Santa Pod isn't just a "hot hatch" day as someone put it.

In fact, although there will be around 50 or so ex-feature and smartly modded cars on display, there is also the 'God of the Pod' competition.

This is a competition between eight of the fastest cars in the uk, who have been invited by myself to take part. The event will happen at lunchtime and will crown the 'God of the Pod', i.e, the fastest road-legal modified car in the uk over the quater mile.

Admittedly some cars are being built for Ten of the Best, again in association with Redline, but even so, there should be some amazing times being set.

You never know, I might even get to run the 180 up if I pull my finger out of my arse. :rolleyes: :o :)

Yep, I'm the Staff Writer on the magazine (write features, make the tea, that kind of the thing. Nickname in the mag is 'Carolgees', because I look like a younger, less boufant version of him.. apparently?!?? )

I don't personally orgainse space, but if you give 01234 782828 a ring you can arrange some display space if you have a set number of cars in mind?

It's a non-profit making event for us, so you'll still have to pay (I think it's Santa Pod themselves you'll be paying), but if you pay for ten tickets you get one free!!!! Woohoo... erm.. ;) :D

Might be an idea for everyone to meet there, and perhaps get the 10 or so best cars in the display area with a big banner?

Even though I KNOW Redline is the greatest magazine in the world... ever ;) , I don't expect everyone to like it. I don't think he likes all the 'hot' hatches we have in the mag.

Having said that, feel free to ask him. It would be great to see his car there. Hopefully he saw the drift feature I did in the current issue. It would be good for readers of the magazine to see a 'genuine' drift car in the metal. :)

Well after the success of the first and second dual meet's I thought I would post up about the next one.

For those not in the know after talking to my bro (MattyGee) about the poor turn outs of midlands un-official meets for both our clubs, we came up with the idea that maybe some of you guys who might want to go to a more regular meet could join some of the guys from the SXOC (200sx Owners Club) at their little midlands meet.

This will be the 3rd dual meet and this time will be with a twist…

The plan is to go along to the Redline Rumble at Santa Pod RWYB day.

There will be around 50 or so ex-feature and smartly modded cars on display; there is also the 'God of the Pod' competition.

The event will happen at lunchtime and will crown the 'God of the Pod', i.e., the fastest road-legal modified car in the UK over the quarter mile. But there will also be time for anyone who wants to go up the strip to do so if they wish. (Weather permitting).

Santa Pod (http://www.santapod.com/rwyb.htm)

Venue normally opens at 8.00am with track runs starting at 10.00am-5pm. Normal admission price is £10 plus one-off signing on fee of £15 for unlimited runs.

Now the plan is to have our own little stand for both Hondas and 200SX’s so we can all park up together, you don’t have to go down the strip but you can if you so wish.

I had the idea to meet up at Sixfields Leisure Estate in Northampton (lots of safe parking and food outlets for breakfast etc) and then convoy over to santa pod. We could meet at between 8-9 am!
In the car park of the stadium, and then onto Santa Pod for about 10 am ish.

Anyway it might take us hondas 3 days, but we get their in one piece, unlike 200's where u can get 1/2 way then the engine goes pop, and u have to be towed home, spend a week under it working out what went bang, spend 100's on a new bit, put it all back together again, then u can do another 20miles before it goes bang again :D

Erm not that i know of....... 1) it would be hard to do with everyone turning up at dif times, 2) i think if we where mixed up it would draw people in to look at all our cars than if we are all segragated off into sections..... just my views on it.

I mean if u really wanna we can, but how would be a problem without shifting everones cars around while parking up.
