View Full Version : Advice
Hi Guys, I have only been in the drifting scene for such a short time (like round 6 Llandow 08) and now want to have a go myself, for me money is reasonably tight at the moment and will be for a little bit more but i found this on DW would any of you even think of going for this i mean i got no idea about cars but willing to learn. I can see a lot of rust and i know that the 13 is prone but can those arches be fixed do you reckon and can you lot see anything else that could give me any worries i know these are only photos but be much appreciated.

drifting will cost you quite a bit if im honest its not that cheap, whether it be tyres, parts i.e clutches, gearboxes etc, fuel blah blah. Practice days dont come up that often in wales, but some will start in april at chepstow which will be good for practice.
im no expert but those arches look like they need the rotted bits cut out and new bits welded on which will cost a bit.
your best bet is to find a car with minimal work needed and then just have a go at a practice day. it also doesnt have to be a 200sx mind, you could get yourself a bmw as i know buffy has one and is enjoying it with a welded diff :D
i personally wouldnt buy that car if im honest.
You will spend £400 on that car and spend 10x that putting it right.
With the current market, you would be FAR better off saving up £2k and buying something in good working condition. Patience will pay off mate
