Hey guys, i broke down last night, the only problem the guy could find was there were no power to the injectors. Anyone came across this before?
Could it be the ecu?
Where does the loom from the injectors go so I can follow it to see if there are any breakages?

Any Ideas?

I've put the wiring diagram at the back of here:
http://www.ianm3igb.plus.com/180SX_SR20DET.pdf

The injectors are wired straight off the main ECU fuse (either in the engine bay or the drive footwell). The ECU grounds-out the other pin of each one to fire it.

Is the ECU still alive (priming the fuel pump)?

Yes I get fuel pump prime and fuel to engine, get spark on plugs too!
I am at a loss

Right, Update

Changed ECU - No Change
Checked all fuses in drivers footwell - All fine
What Next?

It might be a little extreme for your problem but i've had a horrendous stack of random electrical issues with mine since I got it, I only just twigged my wide wheels have rubbed the shit out of my drivers side wiring loom

You have hefty wheels so it's worth checking that mate, my wheels has severed my horn, hazards and is having a pop at cutting through my popups power..

Drivers side, prepare for a shock

Well I had a look and only 2 wires had a little rubbing on them, so I sorted that out, also the fuse box by the air intake had some wires with the core exposed so I sorted them out, Nope no change still ****ed. Could the injectors go? anything else I can try before I pull my hair out!

Well I think I have narrowed it down, it might not be electrical after all. When fuel pump is priming I can hear the fuel going to the injectors, its quite loud. It sounds like its been mixed with air. When cranking the engine I can hear what sounds like a "dump" of pressure so its making me think that I may have a leak. Could this stop the injectors from firing?

New fuel pump, no change. This is really starting to get me annoyed!

Christ mate! I feel for you, I know what it feels like. Sorry I cant suggest anything useful.

If you take the plugs out, are the cylinders getting fuel?
One trick it to get another CAS (rather than alter the angle of yours), plug it into the loom, remove the spark plugs but leave them connected, and spin the cas by hand with the ignition on. You should be able to hear the injectors click and watch the sparks fire as the ECU will think the engine is spinning.

There is also the fuel pump speed controller on the 180sx. I think this was dying on mine as sometimes the pump would make dodgy noises and grind to a halt and the car wouldn't start (but the pump was fine as I swapped it).

Ok, so if I can find another CAS, I should unplug mine? then plug the new one in. How do I spin it by hand? Also should I take the fuel pump relay out when doing this?

Fuel isn't getting into the cylinders as the spark plugs are bone dry but fuel is going around the rails. This speed controller where is it and how could I check if its broke

Sorry for the noobish responses, but thanks for the advice
Where would I be able to get a CAS from, posted in the wanted section but no luck!

Gonna try this!

Looks like a common problem!

Found my problem, I have no live/power/voltage to my injectors. I have earth just no power. Bugger!

Sounds like a broken wire. I think the injector power is off the same fuse as the ECU, so if that has power then something's broken inbetween (don't hold me to that though).

It's a common 12V to all 4 injectors (as the ECU grounds the other pins out to fire them), so if it came to it you could just run another wire with 12V to power them all.

Regarding above about the CAS, I meant leave yours in place (so as not to disturb it), and plug in another to the harness. You then turn the gear wheel on it by hand to trick the ECU into thinking the engine is running.

Ah makes sence now matey. Yep looks like I have to check the power cable all the way back to the ECU now!

The injector 12V will come into the ECU harness from one of the two connectors behind the passenger headlight  (the grey one, I think, not sure of the wire colour without reading up, but probably blue with a red stripe, or black with a white stripe, and pretty thick)

Is the injector wiring close to the s14 wiring?

Into the fuse box next to the afm? Or on a seperate harness mate?

FIXED :)

Wired straight from the battery through a 5amp fuse onto the injectors!

Lol thanks, got a mate who is gonna take it to his garage, and solder all the wires, so no mess in the engine bay!
