I was going to have a word with you, jibber. Can I pop it round in the morning on Saturday so we can try and sort out the water temps? There's something wrong as the temps were all over the shop at the weekend and the expansion tank is full to the brim now....
Had to keep it around 50mph or the temps would shoot over 100..
I've bought a new stat and we'll see if it's a duff one in there now causing the problems...
If we can sort it, I'll gladly give you a lift and also come round and collect Mattius there.
sounds a bit odd...........cant get my head around those symptoms:confused:
unless its got a shit load of air in it, but i cant see that...., hows the idle now?

Same as before: Mostly ok, but sometimes dipping really low when pulling up and only just coming back up before it stalls. I think that's more to do with the airflow map though as it was the same when I first put the Z32 afm on and adjusted my old E-Manage to suit.
A full and proper map will sort that, I've no doubt.

No and I'm hoping that isn't the problem as it's a Koyo one which has been in there about three years. But, anything's possible, I guess.

without doubting your work :wack:, was the system bled as per the handbook:D
was going to say rad too but doubt it now as its a koyo.
and i will try to come up too
how about the rad cap tom?? if that had gone week it would allow the exp tank to fill, and if the system could not hold preasure, it could overheat........maybe

Reckon that would have gone in the four weeks it's been sat doing nothing, though? The temp was fine before we drained the coolant. I'll compare the springy'ness to yours on Saturday.

springy'ness
Is that a technical term Tom :D
I'll try to make it over, if the weather is a bit better :)

Actually, there is no apostrophe in there by rights, so I got that wrong and I shoved a Y in where it should have been an I. But the word springiness is valid, apparently.
was the engine empty of coolant for 4 weeks? if so then the thermostat has probably stuck closed.
Anyone venturing out to the meet?

Don't think I'll be over this month either.
It looks like an ice skating rink outside!
By next month I'll probably tax the 13, so should be over in that for a change :D
