Well after successful first year in 2008 the boys @ trackaction-online (http://www.trackaction-online.co.uk/phpBB2/index.php) have started to book some more dates for the coming year.

I've did a few events with them last year as a complete newbie and had a great time. The days all went smoothly and there was a plethora of different cars to entertain all day.

There second event booked so far is a Cadwell Park (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=53.308724,-0.059395&spn=0.039848,0.091324&t=h&z=14) trackday on Friday, March 27th. I'm not 100% but assume it will run on the full circuit which happens to be one of the best in the country and will be an open pit lane.

Prices:
£150 for the General public
£125 for SXOC members
and can be booked here (http://cart.trackaction-online.co.uk/index.php?p=product&id=11&parent=0)

I believe helmets are available for hire at the circuit.

Attendees:

1. Easy007
2. Cluck
3. SteA
4.
5.

Yeah i wasn't a fan of ~3.30 either :wack::o

s'not my fault though really  . If they'd let you out on track in your own car you'd never had been in the passenger seat ;). Anyway, I best stop spamming this thread :wack:

If they'd let me out in my own car i'd've probably been in that bank before you. iirc my tyre tread depth was a little low at the start of the year..... just over 2mm springs to mind  and it would've been aquaplane central :indiff:

Hi fellas

Keep adding names to that list and we should get a really good SXOC showing for this event.

It will be run on the full circuit and we always include free instruction for anyone that wants it so it should be a great day out .

For anyone who hasn't been to Cadwell before all I can say is that it's the best drivers circuit in the country and well worth the trip, if you haven't trackdayed before then you'd be very welcome to make this your first outing!

I'll PM discount codes in a few days so stick your name on the list if you want to come along or feel free to post up any questions .

Cheers

Steve H

Well you can pay for the tyres then.Cheaper than paying for damage :p :o :wack: :D

To be honest, I don't mind if it rains - I would just prefer it to be dry to see what can really be done on the circuit. It is a great track

You might change your mind after the bill for 5 sets of tyres....;)

With 100% lockup on the rear diff?

*Bang*

:D

Steve PH
19-01-2009, 21:45
Does it count as a diff if it's 100% lockup  :D

BuggyofDoom
19-01-2009, 22:20
It unlocks on the brakes...:D

Easy007

i'm still convinced my diff is welded.... you'll be fine.

BuggyofDoom
20-01-2009, 00:04
Yeah, but our diff. is built into the gearbox, 's not cheap if it goes clonk, hence sticking to the mud tyres!

Easy007

Going to bump this for a few reasons :-

1. It's only a month away
2. The weather has started to turn and I've got round to thinking about 'driving' the car again
and
3. I want to go back to Cadwell and want my discount code :D

BuggyofDoom

Well, I'm racing near there at the weekend and kipping 20 minutes down the road, so will probably call in Friday even if we don't take the buggy.
Guy might be taking the fouquet even if I don't go with him.

Join us on our NW Ring trip at the end of May/Early June :D The car will be ready by then :wack:I don't have the cojones to do the Ring or Spa - I'd be so terrified of stacking it and not getting home that I wouldn't be able to fully enjoy either circuits. One day, maybe, just not this year :o
