Any of you guys had experience of R1's?
If so I'm looking at what mods I can do to a 2002 fuel injected engine, possibly a piggy back ecu for starters
cheers
Mike

hehe I just can't control the urge for power :D
just got abit carried away and phoned holeshot tuning asking about a turbo conversion but they luckily only do a tubo for the carb version, close call...............
but he said he maybe soon  :p
Well I've got one does that count?
Try Power Commander, will allow for tuning the old fuel injection system, on those crappy fuel injected ones ;) ;) ;)
Demon Tweeks do it in two flavours for R1 PC3 and PC3R (£285 and £335)
Turbo for Carb only R1
How much was that then? More power for my R1 bwahahahahahaaaaaaaaa:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Your all quite mad!! :D :D
I've got an R1 tuned leg;)
I found TTS at silverstone to be sh1t hot with R1's and they've got there own dyno.
Attachments didn't work:confused:

I know a guy who fitted nitrous into his R1
Scary sh*t!!! he'd hit the button then fight for the front end so he didnt go over backwards!!
Replaced nearly everything with carbon fibre and got his speed that way instead of silly engine boosts.
Another turbo-charged his - madness!

I think you would need at least 2 engine in a 200.....
should be alright for the new car as it should way about 450 kg :)
With 215hp youll have 477bhp/tonne!!
imagien turning up the boost too!!
nice:cool:
What ar eyou doing about gearing/ clutch?
standard bike one be no good for car will it?
i assume RWD, not 4WD.
You going to have the propshafts coming straight out the gearbox??
i interested because this has always been at the back of my mind......
I was under the impression that you just turn the engine through 90 degrees, use the original gearbox and clutch, and just run it through a diff... that's easy :D
...I was thinking of the fun of putting a big bike engine in something like a Citroen AX, cos it's light enough

yeh you use the bike gearbox and clutch coupled to a prop and I'm using a 4x4 lsd through to the 15" rear wheels :)
think I'll stick to about 160 bhp to start with and see how I get on with it
