...How come older people tend to sneeze louder than younger people? Like me and my mates tend to do a litte a-choo but you get some older bloke who goes AAAAAA-CHOOOOOOOO! ...and consequently wakes the dead.

So I have to ask, (well it is a Bank Holiday and I'm bored doing work), how do you sneeze?

(ahh, bugger - I made a speeling mistake in the poll, read "her" for "air" (what was I thinking...:rolleyes: )

I've just had a disgusting cold and have been sneezing with all my strength 4 - 5 times in a row. I hate it when your chest and lungs feel like someone has stuck tar and broken glass on coarse sandpaper and liberally coated the stuff inside you? Couldn't bear to do any work as my head felt it would explode if I tilted it the wong way:rolleyes:

Thankfully I am feeling better now:D

I usually emphasise my massive sneeze by falling off whatever im sitting/leaning on at the time :(

I'm well into my second week of a cold I can't get shut of and can assure you I sneez VERY loudly. Did so, even as a nipper :D

If you press in the little ridge bit between your nose and top lip when you feel a sneeze coming on it makes it disappear. Handy if you've got a cold and no tissue, save you having to wipe snot on you trousers/sofa/mates back.

And the opposite - place a finger covering each nostril, and hum. Make you sneeze in seconds - Ive found the American National anthem works well :)
