Theres some interest in a KSport seat, harness and rail group buy so here are the details.

Seats:

Reclining seat - base mount so pita to fit but if you want one here it is:

Racing seat:


Fibreglass frame
Shoulder, lap and crotch slots for harness fitting
Deep bucket for maximum lower torso support
Wings sides for shoulder support
Padded back and base
Side mount


Bear in mind that I can fit in these seats comfortably (if a little snugly) and Im 6' and 17 stone so no lightweight :no: The owner of the Apex Test S14a has one in his car and hes happy as Larry with his, hes 5'10" and 12 stone. Mikes 5'8" and 10 1/2 stone, hes driving numerous cars with these seats and hes also perfectly happy with them. They will accomodate a wide range of body shapes and sizes :)

I drove to Germany and back with them fitted in our Skyline in 2006 and had no probs for the majority of the journey. They just started getting a little niggly after 5 hours continous driving with just one fuel stop. Not bad for a full on bucket and bearing in mind Im 17 stone so theyre snug for me.

Theyre far far far far better than the junk Sparco thats in our Skyline now. I hate it with a passion but we had to run an FIA seat for the EDC. We still have a KSport passenger seat and anyone whos tried both agrees without exception that the KSport is superior. And thats the second Sparco seat we have tried, the first was over £400 and was a joke in terms of fit, head touching the roof time and thats without helmet! We sent it back.

I am comfortable in the Evo 2 and KSport so theyre a similar size. The differnce is that you can fit a KSPort to a 200SX with our or Bride seat rails, you cant fit an Evo 2 as the over all outside width of the seat pushes the rails too far apart so you cant bolt it in.

6 point harness (can be run as 4 point):


4 or 6 point harness, just dont use crotch strap if you only want 4 point
Aircraft type quick release buckle
3" shoulder and lap straps

I’ve been thinking about getting some bucket seats and could not make my mind up , went to apex on Saturday and tried the seat out it was a nice fit and good quality

the other seat in the car was a sparco evo it was not as comfy and the cushion raised my legs up at the end

so i rang up today and ordered my k sport seats :-)


arrived at the door first thing this morning, thanks for the GB Bren well impressed with the seat/harness/rail


went and collected mine this afternoon from the local city link, stupidly took the sx thinking meh the box wont be that big :wack:
luckily i had the rear seats out so just had to take the seat out of the MAHUSIVE box and it slid in where the rear seats were.
Anyway, looks real gd quality gonna have a crack at fitting it tomo!

in the last GB the k-sport logo where orange instead of silver! are they still orange? as im after another seat and don't want them looking odd:nod::wack:

We aready have the 5 orders necessary so we can start processing orders for goods that are in stock and shipping immediately. Anything not in stock (i.e. any seat other than the normal Racing seat) will be a couple of months so payment wont be needed yet :no:

I am in need of bucket seats, but i promised not to buy anything as long as everything i already have is not fitted (includes FMIC, every bushes of the car, engine and gearbox mounts, oil feed line, and final coilover settings ... might take some time as no suspension arms bolts seems to move :wack: ) .

What is required to fit them ? no welding, just bolting ?

i would be buying 2 seats (racing or carbon racing, dont know yet) and seatrails for LEFT handed drive S13. Is this a problem ? I would also like to know the shipping to France, Toulouse for these (might add some other seats for some friends, can you tell me the shipping for more seats, by PM if you prefer, i do not care).

No, apparently not. That was the figure the manufacturer quoted but I wanted to double check so emailed them and am now being told that theyre heavier. The weights Ive been given are still wrong as theyre trying to tell me they weigh more than the normal seat so as it stands I cant tell you the correct weight, sorry. :(

The seat mounts work with some bucket seats but only the thinner ones. It depends on how wide your OMP as to wether it will fit or not.

They sit as low as its possible to get the seat. Its physically not possible to sit the seat lower.

They just bolt in.

Left hand drive is no problem.

Shipping on one seat is £50. Same price for two seats (we can fit two seats ion one box). Four seats would be £85.

The recliner is base mount therefore will sit higher, the side mounts dont.

They fit the narrower seats, it depends on the width of your seat.

Thats how it wants to sit, the other ones a joke and had you window licking without choice as thats the only way we can get the thing in the car. Piece of junk. Same applies to the Sparco in our Skyline, it sits really badly in comparison to the KSport passenger seat.

The levers for adjustment.

I doubt you will find a bucket seat that will provide you with "ultimate comfort", they just dont have enough padding, Im thinish and tall and I find most typical race buckets arch my back and can start to get uncomfortable after a few hours, but I put up with it.

I'd say the most comfortable bucket seat Ive sat in was a Recaro profi spg with extra thick seat base and backrest cushions.

Yeah its still going, give us a shout to get involved. Ill finalise the seats not in stock on Monday, get this put to bed :)

We made a load of progess with the new system today and its now up, running and usable. Still needs a whole load of work to perfect but its downhill now and a case of bringing all data up to speed and then making a million and one tweaks.

Then the real work starts, first job to enter the catalogue of one premium brand that weve hooked. Hard job to get involved with them but we now have the account sorted. Some 35,000 products will be available through us within the next few months. Shortly after they will all be available online through a fully automated and integrated system.

I dont want to give out too much info but my god, its sooooo sexy :D
