Anyone interested in forming a West Country karting team to take on the Welsh in a karting challenge?

Confirmed Date: Sun 22nd Feb 2PM.

I believe Paul, pdh14a has paid a deposit of £10 per person for 12 people. 6 per team (at the moment). We need to let the karting centre know exact numbers by next Thursday.

So we really need to know who is a definate 'yes' It would also be helpful if you can pay the £10 deposit as soon as possible.

nah, he radio'd in and obviously found no ins, tax or MOT, but then said he wasn't going to do anything about it as i'd said i was just turning it around to work on the other end, didn't give him any grief, so he didn't give me any.

But the mrs has gone out this morning and found a nice trail of oil patches following the path the s13 took last night :cry: so i now have to spend even more time off road finding the damn leaks!!

Mmm sounds like a good idea to me:D I will be having a leaving doo in northampton and will gladly organise a party at mine when we move in (I have the space and the fire pit:notworthy)

As I wont be able to organise poker nights at Kiz's anymore I will have to find some others reps house to trash;):p. Although the cottage we are renting has a second living room, this could end up being my games room with xbox on projector and a poker table so watch this space;)

Llandow is preferable as I've never been there before - probably going to be a bit chilly though :wack:

hm forgot about this. haven't checked my holiday dates yet.

would like to go though, i am..er...rather decent at karting as i used to go monthly when i was a kid, have been a few times recently but i usually win whenever i go, an outdoor wet circuit would be a relatively new thing to me but it can't be too different to the formula ford i did a while back, that was entertaining.

Come on guys, the Welsh have 10 people confirmed and others showing interest.

So far we don't have anyone confirmed.

We need to know by Thursday at the very latest. Anyone wanting to confirm attendance after then will be tricky to amend/add due to the deposit and numbers booking they require in advance.

I am tempted to go out on a limb and say to Paul, book 6 West Country spaces and pay Paul myself. This will be a £60 non-refundable deposit out of my own pocket, so please help me out guys! I don't really want to have to go to that extreme to to keep a team together.

Lots of people were interested but please get back to me to confirm asap!!:thumbs:

Kerry will be coming, but only to spectate and we may need a lift on the day as i'm not sure what the car situation is going to be like at that point.

Oh Ecksjay +1 is no problem, but will require two deposits.

And VoodooRythmn, you just need to pay the deposit, the remainder can be sorted on the day. As your confident you can attend, just square up the deposit with me when it is more convenient. (For now I can pay Paul on yours and Kerry's behalf). - I assume it is indeed both of you wanting to come?

Yes please!

We do really need the deposits by Thursday, even though the event is not till February 22nd.

Paul (pdh 14a) will be confirming numbers on Friday and needs to hand over the deposits then.

You can either paypal it to events@sxoc.com (as per the instructions on the first page), remember to clearly mark you board name and state West Country and Wales Karting in the subject heading.

Or as Cornwall has arranged, give me the cash Wednesday evening at the Swindon meet. Assuming that your going!

I wont be at the swindon meet, as i'm pretty stacked this week, i'll pay deposits through paypal though no probs. How much is it for two them? sorry to sound dumb, just wanna make sure i get it right, never been to a proper sxoc event before, and as im sure you realised at the last longwell meet when you spoke about the bbq/hillclimb thing, i do get quite excited :D

Shame you can't make it on Wednesday. (I'm hoping it doesn't snow:( )

Through Paypal will be 2 x £10.40 = £20.80 :thumbs: (£10.00 deposit per person and 40p Paypal charge)

Wee! Getting close :D

I have 3 seats spare (Unless Kate changes her mind and decides to come watch that is :wack:) so if anyone in Yate/Sodbury/North Bristol (ringroad environs) or Avonmouth (means I can get even cheaper LPG on my way past Cribbs :D) wants a lift in the Krautwagon let me know :thumbs:

As i am letting Debbie Marry me she might even let me get the 200 back on the road when were back - its still a three wheeler at the moment though!
I think the 200 deserves at least anothe 6-12months before she gets sold.

Righto - Make sure you let me know by tomorrow evening. If we're locking the Dolly up before heading over then that'll add a good 30+ mins to our travel time :)

I've teamed up with Rory and Voodoo. Were all going in a french car?:confused:

A bit worried about driving mine at the moment. It wants to pull savagely to the left or right. Had a track rod end replaced and the tracking has been rechecked and set quite a few times in the last few months.

Were picking SXRORY up at the Redcliffe St roundabout around 12? Any good? Would be good to be able to have a decent view of a 200 to eliviate the bordom of being in a diesel pug!:thumbs:

we'll be at longwell at about 11.30-12ish then, for anyone that wants to convoy on up. think its about hour and half i think? might aim for 11, gives us a bit more time to relax on the way up then :)

i'll be going in my 200 probs, i dont mind meeting at longwell or wherever, im actually picking up a mate who lives within 30seconds of there, so yeah, i'll go from longwell if anyone wants to.

blue, whats the problem with that? mine's never driven in a straight line since i bought it, sorted tracking is for girls :wack:

It really is a bit hairy! Can pull very savagely left or right. Something isn't right, even if I don't crash I'm sure it won't do it any good going on a long run.

Shame coz I fancy driving.

I'll just have to make up for it when I get there.

cool i'll try n get to longwell at 11.30, in the aspects under ground car park, i know it's a long shot but anyone got some uprated shocks for the rear of my 14a they want to bring along (bear in mind im skint so the cheaper the better lol) fitted some lowering springs today and they lost some fluid as soon as i dropped it back on the ground

ive not got anything no sorry mate.

blue, my tyres are...um...interestingly low on tread on the rear so it'll be an interesting drive either way. need full setup and alignment also so it's absolutely mad on anything but perfect roads. think something's unbolted itself on the front end also, it's now a fan of understeering at the slightest opportunity. front arb is my guess.
either way, danger is fun, it lets you know you're alive. and makes you feel manly. the drag race out of the bridge toll booths will be interesting if its anything but dry :D
