View Full Version : Nothing to do
What a strange feeling, I am in work but have absolutely nothing to do. I feel like I should be happy about this but am actually incredibly bored. I don't even have anything to pretend to be doing in case someone asks (which is basically all I've done for the last couple of months).
For those that don't know why this has come about, we're merging with another company and all projects have been canned until we know who is staying and who is going, due to the redundancies that are to take place.
Should I ask for some work, or can anyone suggest how I can stop myself from nodding off at my desk
I feel like just getting up and walking out! :(
I'm in the same situation, I've asked my boss to find something constructive for me to do to prevent me sitting idle.
Dunc.
Go and have a sherman :)
Look up porn on the net :)
Chat up the receptionist :)
D/L MSN and chat to peeps :)
all in a days work :D
You could try learning something...
Not sure what field of work you do, but I'm learning about .NET when I've got nothing to do. I've just written my first VB app to record average mpg...:)

How do I do that then :o sounds like it could kill a few hours :)
Will also play a few games and see if I can learn summink :)
All our receptionists quit because of bordom ages ago, as have loads of other people in the company, I think it's a conspiracy to avoid paying people their redundancy money  I am not going to give in a quit tho, I want my redundancy pay!
