same as blue, id want both. i couldnt stand to live miles from anywhere as id get annoyed having to go so far to work/get the shopping/see anyone i know. where i live is perfect :) at the end of my street if you turn one way you go into the town centre (about a 10 min drive) , turn the other way and your in the countryside ( about a 5 min drive) :)

I loved living in Princetown. :) Middle of Dartmoor, one shop and three pubs.

Used to get out of going to school by telling our parents that the bus didn't turn up because the roads were icy. :D

Lived in the country for years - about 100 yds away fron a glorious flight of locks on the cannal. Moved into town a year ago and hate it - Police sirens every day - no atmosphere - crowds of people all muttering and telling you to sod off!!!!!!! I miss the country - sound of birds twittering in the morning, lambs bleating in the field oposite - the odd tractor or passing car - people who talk to you - quiet evenings sitting in the sun after a hard days work. Dont know how much longer I can stand it - summers nearly here and Im stuck in the middle of town - aaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhh.................... ...

The country side is nice for driving through but hanging around in it for too long freaks me out :( Perhaps I am slightly agoraphobic?

City or town for me. I like the way you become anonymose. I was born an bred in the country and couldnt wait to get away. last time me and the wife stopped over at the parents I couldnt sleep as it was to dark and quiet. I like it here because everything is to hand and there is always something going on. Even the explosions started again last night! (andyf know's what I meen) I've managed to blank out the trains and police sirens as well. were also quite lucky as it's only a 5 min drive out of town into countryside if we want to go for a drive or walk.

excactly what i think, people are so unfriendly in the city, and this is coming from someone who has lived in the city all his life

Back in the village i grew up it, i knew 90% of the people who lived there, and when you drove past, they would all smile and wave......very friendly.

Drive through crawley you just feel like people are scouwling at you and wanting to car jack you, roll on weekend so i can escape back tu' farm :D

I like the quiet life - unfortunately Mrs.Ripper likes the City (quote: "because it has a good bus service").

Great.....

Ah, well - we'll have to continue living in a dual existence.........

PS I enjoy NOT having to park my car 300yds from my house, in another street and spending 20 minutes trying to fit it into a gap 2 inches longer than the car.

PPS I also do not have the need to live in the City because (another quote) "it's near Town"

Lived in the country up until 2 years ago. Like the convienience of town/city life but prefer the quietness and how laid back the country is. Oh and the nice un-congested roads too :D

So like i used to be would be perfect. In the country surrounded by fields but only 5 mins from a town

The Burbs :D

3 mins from the Motorway, 20 mins from Liverpool, but far enough out for it to be quiet :)
