Yep...

Dunno whether I will have the car back on the road... I will give it a bloody good go tho...
I am having it looked at over this weekend.... so fingers crossed its just the head gasket.... please let it be just the head gasket :(

Na, you can start it and drive it (thats how I got it home) but it doesnt like it... its feels horrible and dont really want to chance it by driving it anywhere... which is a big shame because I was really looking forward to the Bolney Meet aswell.. :(

However, I might use this time to prep a few mods to the car whilst its off the road, treat the rust, etc.... ;)

I'll have a word with my Grandad (probably the best engineer the world has ever seen bar none - he fixed a ship in Chile from his study in Suffolk via radio link) and see if he can come up with any ideas...

Cheers for this: have a look below :)

Installed my Boost Valve yesterday and test drove it to see what PSI I am running with it installed and it boosted to around 14PSI.

So I am thinking "This is Great" took it up a dual carriage way and floored in 2 and 3rd gear and suddenly I hear a bang in the engine:(
Pulled over and it sounds like something to tapping violenty within the engine???? put my foot on the accelerator and you can hear it above 2000rpm not below.
The car now shakes violently when its stationary??

I think it could be either:

Pistons or BottomEnds:(

Its not the Head Gasket because I looked under the Oil Cap and there is no white substance (I heard that if the head gasket goes then there should be a mayo like substance on the cap), but then I had no smoke coming from the engine

Its driveable, but it doesnt sound nice.

Any Ideas????

I have had replies from Ade on the Starion Uk site saying that it could be either a cracked head or Head Gasket.

To be honest, it could be anything until I take the head off...

Are you sure you didn't blow part of the zorst up or something?

Anyway, if it is a cracked head, it isn't the end of the world. I think I might know someone who might have an A reg kicking about and who might be considering breaking it as he doesn't have time to play anymore... Possibly

Its saturday.

I am as confooosed as you though. I was thinking that the 26th was this saturday, which is when I am doing the turbo, but its not. I am stooopid.
