Having no idea if the car was ever fitted with an aftermarket diff or not ive always had the diff clunking after gear changes.

the diff locks pretty well though, started to hear it more after fitting poly subframe bushes.

the noise doesn't really bother me i would just like to know if its a normal thing for aftermarket diffs or is it possible that i have an issue with the diff itself?

Mine never clunks after gear changes

But when you turn at low speeds like roundabouts it's contantly forcing the wheels to skip.

could be the centre bearing in the prop but more likely could be wear on the pinion an crown wheel in the diff.

try an oil change

could be the pinnion and crown gear not meshing properly or just really worn.

The Nismo Diff I had in mine appeared to make a clunk noise after gear changes.

It was noisey everywhere, but I remember when I put my locking collars on it made the gear change clunk worse.

My diff also clunk quite a lot and when pulling out of junctions etc it always scrubs the inside tyre so i put it down to being welded or a very tight locker......

car is on 56k miles and was an auto before so wouldn't imagine the diff has taken alot of abuse :s

if it aint anything that serious ill just drive it til it goes and then upgrade
