Help a novice forum user out

I'm probably being really stupid here, but how do I embed photos of alloys for sale in a thread. I click on the IMG button and it asks me for a web address. They're on my pc ???

you need to upload the pics to a host somewhere.... like personal web space or something... then just put the address of the site in when you click IMG.

eg...
