I'm wanting a gauge pod to fit below the stereo. The carbon fiber one from Apex is a bit too bling for me

Has anyone seen or tried this one before ?

It looks good to me as it's just black and angles the gauges toward the driver. Just wondering if anyone has any opinions on the quality or fitment.

Cheers.

That does look good as I would be looking for something non-bling as well. Interested to hear if anyone has fitted one yet.

I had a 3 din plate (not like the one in your link) that angled the gauges but it never fitted that great.
When the gauges were angled towards the driver the left most gauge was hitting the support cage and didn't go in correctly.
Dont think you can see it from this pic

Thanks Glen that's interesting, it looks like because of the angle and dept of the gauges, the one of the left hits the side and the one on the right ends up slightly hidden, which isn't great! The one that I'd linked to does look a little better, but I don't want it looking untidy.

I found another option after some hunting on ebay with the gauges pointing forward -

"Item location: Karlsruhe, Germany"
I'm in Karlsruhe at the moment so I might try to find the place and save on postage :D

Is that not just the same as the Apex one?

It looks black to me rather than carbon fiber.

Ah get you. I was thinking of getting the Apex ones and spraying them matt black. But if you could get them black like the ones that you just posted, saves the hassle!

Stuu, what gauges are you planning on using?
