Although still provisional, ACO have released the dates for LM09 as the 13/14th June.
Lemans.org (https://psl-pdc/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.lemans.org/sport/sport/calendrier/index_gb.html)
Start your planning now as the ferry companies have already started upping prices.
Whos on the going/interested in going list then?
.....and can the forum title be changed to just 24 Heures Du Mans or a new 09 created

I'm in
I'd love to go. What sort of cost is involved for the weekend. Some of you have done it before and might be ble to help me out as I've never been before and have no idea of budgets lol. Cheers.

Cant remember exactly, I think I took 300 pounds spending money out with me for 4-5 days but came back with change.
That included meals out, loads of beer and bbq food supplies from the supermarket. You could get away with £200 spending I reckon
Ferry/camping/ticket/petrol between 3 of us in the car was under £200 each too
we should be there this year

Pretty sure this clashes with a mates wedding in New York :(
What a nightmare! If you get a chance to go, do it. It really is awesome fun.

For me it seems to change year on year with the crossing.
I have tried
Portsmouth ~ Caen (Brittany Ferries, expensive but a good night crossing allowing a short 1.5hr journey to LM from Caen)
Portsmouth ~ Le Harve (LD Lines, cheaper, still can get an overnight crossing, 2~2.5hrs to LM)
Newhaven ~ Dieppe (LD Lines, very cheap overnight crossing, 3~3.5hrs from LM) Going to try this again when LD Lines decide to put it up on their calender.
Dover ~ Calais (P&O, cheapish and a long trek down to LM. Allow 5 hours and don't speed as the rossers love that route!!!!)
Alot of folks go Dover Bolougne with Speed Ferries. Very cheap, about £50, but same problems (IMHO) with the long boring drive down to LM.
Personally I prefer a longer boat crossing and a shorter, off the beaten track drive in France. There are some great roads out there with some nice villages and cafes' away from the Autoroute
Ive booked time off work for this already :D
Cant wait to pop my Le Mans cherry :wack: :D
im up for this also bin speaking with dazz150 about goin on to the ring after to make an awsome road journey epic!
When do you lot normally start booking the ferry crossings?
Can the camping be left to relatively late to sort out?

I would suggest to get on to one of the ticket agencies ie Just Tickets, or have a search around wwwpistonheads.com or www.clubarnage.com to see what other agencies people book through.
Camping tickets go quick so you should do it now. Sometimes companies say they have sold out, but don't despair as they seem to get another allocation when they have caught up with their bookings!
If you want to go direct then contact:-
ticket@lemans.org
Tel: 00 33 2 43 40 24 75
or
00 33 2 43 40 24 77
Club Arnage seem to already be saying camp sites around the area are booked up
Any advice on a camp site you guys usually go to?

I am not much help as my friend goes direct through the ACO to book camping.
Give Docwra a shout as I think he organises the camping for alot of the guys on here.
Any suggestions anyone?????
