Running problem

I recently swapped my stage 2 chips for stage 3a, I bought all the kit from one car (turbo, maf chips).

I've just put it all together and I've run into a problem. Its not idling very well, seems to be missing and the engine check light is on.

If I unplug the Z32 maf the idle doesn't change at all, does it sound like the maf is fubar'ed?

I'm supposed to be doing a track day Monday :(

Any ideas would be appreciated!!!

Oh and I fitted your lambda sensor, but I'm pretty sure it can't be that.

Sounds like you've fitted the chips incorrectly or damaged the ECU or ECU upgrade.

Who did you get the chips from? What car do they have and what car do you have?

I took the chips out of Stevies S14a ECU and into my S14a ECU, then refitted it.

I'll whip the ECU out tomorrow and have a look.

I wouldn't be able to sleep without having a look, so I whipped the ECU in torch light :)

I owe you a beer Jez, your over the net diagnostics are exceptional! One of the wires on the ribbon cable had broken off after messing about with refitting chips, one solder joint later and the car is running like a dream :thumbs:
