If anyone knows of or has a turbo available for sale could you please let me know :sxoc:
On the way to work the other day my poor little T25 decided to let go
I dont realy want to put another T25 on there if I can help it :ghey:
Im not rocka fella but do have cash waiting, ive trawled Egay and considerd the cheap alternatives and jus cant seem to bring myself to buy one, as tempting they are :annoyed:
Cheers guys
Buy an Xs power one they are as good as the rest. Ask Slider about his genuine Garret one with no rear oil seal!
I've had a spare t28 hanging about here for the last 3 years or so (And if Butuz whinges about me never using it after his epic trip in the snow to collect it for me I'll fooking ban him )
I don't really want to sell it as inevitably mine will go pop a week later but if it helps you out woody make me an offer

Well people like slider (using his gt3071 what ever it is jobbie) and Noz have actually inspired some confidance in my interest in the Hong Kong Shite thats floating around egay :wack:

Chris if you are not sure about selling it mate its probably best you keep it as spare, I'd hate to buy it off you and then you be stuck for one shortly after
It seems i have just recieved a PM for another T28 that someone has removed due to an upgrade to 2871r so I will see how this pans out. He said it does have 2 broken studs in it so Ive asked for pics :wack:

Without going silly hoooj like simons (and knowing my luck getting lots of det :wack:) and blowing it up, i couldnt find one i was comfortable with

Well ive resisted the temptation of getting a Egay special and managed to find a second hand T28 from someone called Pete Barber on Driftworks. £150 deliverd so hopwfully it will be here by the end of the week :)
He assures me there is no play in the shaft and its coverd about 78,000 miles :)
Pics look ok ?

Everything is running great except for my boost gauge seems to be making things up as it goes along :wack: it seems to think im running 3psi with the engine off
So a trip to madda's this eve to purchase another boost gauge to see if thats the problem :)
"purchase" in the loosest sense of the word :wack:
I can be nice sometimes, he is having a set of 17" wheels, and a gauge in a pillar pod for £25

Centre bore is a little small, but with spacers they are fine, and handled driftwest nicely

Right, I've managed to have a closer look and have found more confirmation that the crank is indeed fubared
End float on a crank is measured in thou using a DTI right :wack:
I think mine can be measured using a yard stick

Dont know if its clear on this youtube vid but it moves in and out about 2 mm at least! (this was done by my dad pressing on the clutch pedal)
Blimey mate! Will have to try that on my for a laugh :D
Blimey mate! Will have to try that on my for a laugh :DPressing the clutch exerts force on the thrust bearings
Heavy duty clutches make matters worse :( High pressure clutch plates=high pressure force :(
Even with a standard clutch it's advisable to select neutral and declutch at traffic lights
Starting the car in gear with your foot on the clutch pedal increases the drag on the engine by exactly the same means so that's another :no:
This post isn't aimed at anyone in particular BTW  It was just the ideal opportunity to illustrate my point and tip :thumbs:

Chris thats a point i'll never forget mate!
One of my habbits is to sit at traffic lights in gear with my foot on the clutch and in gear!
I do have an AP paddle plate but a nissan cover, I'll be bearing this in mind in the future!
Top tip kids
Never considered those points Chris. I also have a tendency to either pop the car out of gear without using the clutch when almost stopped, or if only stopped for a little while... to ride the clutch :(
Ta :)
lol same as me i do the above habbits to wont be now tho lol gutting woody hope it gets sorted soon mate
