New, aggressive headlight style S14 (Is this the S14a?) came up out of nowhere behind me today when having a nice drive through blackpool to wake myself up. Sat behind me for a bit tapping his steering wheel and playing some rather loud tunes. Lights go green and we trundle off. I look again and he's all business, no smiles, grins or anything. Suddenly this long piece of red metal squats and moves forward and right, overtakes myself, the car in front, the car infront x2, x3, and another car for good measure, and turns right down Highfield Road which is a long, small road with loads of shops either side, kinda like a small high street. So I think hey, I don't really have the straight line power but I've got some other tricks, so I floor it around this 90 degree corner full power 2nd gear. It's a bit understeer.. understeer. unde..OOOooooooooooooVersteer! The Rover 400 that had managed to get between us violently swerved over to the kerb for fear of this grey thing imparting itself into his bumper, and I got the line back and roared off after this SX. Like I said, thin high street around 7pm, bright weather, lots of people... and a 200sx with an HKS Hiper Muffler exhaust reverberating like one of God's Fart's off the buildings shooting down the road after a red blur that's probably just hit 80mph!
Anyway I really couldn't keep up and the guy had about 10 times more bravado than me as he continually lept out to overtake more cars. He eventually did a hard right at the end of the road. I did a hard left and drifted again which upset even more people. Cruised down the road back home, gently absorbing the adrenaline rush http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

PS. That metallic scraping noise that seems to be coming from the rear left wheel is getting worse... and I got a nasty fuel cut-off lurch around the big drift corner.. I really think my fuel tank's a bit shafted as I suspect it couldn't gank the fuel out quick enough (Have an uprated fuel pump). Woo, it was fun though.. I want a rematch with that guy when I get the car sorted http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

PPS. I don't -usually- drive like this, I was just feeling .. inspired !

And today, on the way to work feeling a bit groggy, what does the Law of Coincidences throw at me to wake me up?
A motorbike!
Thus ensues a 130mph dash down the A584 towards the office.
At no point did/could the bike overtake either. Not sure exactly what it was, but it looked like a fairly fast Suzuki. I'm sure it could have won in a high speed sprint but we're talking A roads with some bends and light traffic on and he didn't have the bottle it seems to press the issue http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif
Anyway, I was in front so I win! He grinned somewhat at the next traffic lights, then he went off on his seperate way.
