View Full Version : Ha! Ha! Ha!
My mate has just rung me up - he drives a Scoobie. Heres what he said:
"So Im driving home from work, going down the hill (Dual carriageway - up one side of a hill, then down the other)
I got to the chevrons (where the D/C ends) and noticed this Saxo steaming up behind me. I braked pretty hard, pulled into the inside, and then watched the Saxo go spinning (360's) past me and off into a field!! "
Apparently saxo nutter looked OK, but his car didnt ...............
Anyone agree with a case of "Saxo-boy - learn your limits"
I mean - a bloody Sti Impreza!!! Fool.
*sigh* lets hope he learns his lesson...
braking so hard in a scooby is bound to mesmorise people whilst they are driving !
:D:D
Heh heh oh saxo's when will they learn....
But hold on a saxo can do a mclaren F1 cos it aint the car it's the driver!!!
:D:D
was this over the gogs?? if so im not going home that way
Let hope it was this guy http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37324

lol...where did you hear that??? the newer ones aren't too bad but the old WRX's are almost (but not quite) as bad as the prefacelift S13 :D
Oh...and don't forget to mention that you don't brake in a scooby as your turning in or you'll swap ends just like a 200 :D

Mine is a later model - bigger brakes :D
Having been in a 200 swapping ends faster than you can shake a stick at off a roundabout I can say my Scooby would have gripped a little longer!
(Dont want to start an 'I can brake better than you discussion' ! )

Don't worry...i'm not gonna start a "my brakes are better" arguement....cuz i'd lose. (prefacelift S13 owner with standard brakes) :D
My old scoob had standard calipers (non-4 pot), with drilled n' grooved disks and wasn't really all that hot on the braking front. I think most of the early scoob owners go for the later 4 pots or APs. Even still, with standard calipers it stopped a damn sight quicker than most S13s i've been in.
As for swapping ends.... i think you'll find scoobs get more lift off oversteer in the wet than a 200sx...... cuz a lot of us are too scared to take our 200s out in the wet. :D

talking of scoobies, i was chatting to the owner of a P1 which is now spoilerless due to some tw@t just ripping it off and nicking it, insurance co reckons 1200 notes for a new one:eek:

1200 quid.... lol .... You can get a carbon fibre 22B adjustable wing for less than 1/2 that price. I think that guy needs to change insurance company.

Yes mate - I got the bus back and there was no sign of him though :(
Looks like saxo-boy got away with it
Apparently my mate wasnt giving it THAT much mustard - the dickhead (BBC wearer as well) tried to overtake him AND the motor in front, but only got up to my mates quarter panel before bottling it and spinning.
Anyone remember their first (and probably only) experience of hard braking on chevrons?? Mine was a 1.1 fiesta and it went sideways both ways ............. and I cacked me duds
S*xos all seem to think they can outbrake everything else!
Last year one went hairing down the local highstreet and ended up in a wall
According to someone who saw it he 'had no f*cking chance' of making the corner and everyone stopped and watched as he went straight on.
Plankton.
