Car tax will go up by inflation but lorry and motorbike tax remains the same

Great, so we can pay even more and get even less

Mr Brown said that fuel duty rises would be frozen until October

Why. Each time the price of crude goes up and the petrol companies put up their prices, his cut goes up. Yet again, blatant rip off from this bunch of crooked bastards

Emigrate to Iraq or Afganistan or somewhere, then move back as an asylum seeker. Free house, benefits and in some cases golf lessons!

I work for an American owned company and got a newsletter via e mail yesterday which gave the national average price of gasoline as $1.56. Even allowing for the smaller American gallon that's bloody cheap!

We're moving locations from Birmingham to Rugby, doubling the distance most of us drive to work and the Americans couldn't understand why we kicked up a fuss and demanded travelling expenses  No wonder at $1.56 a gallon!
